Yeah, re-read that. "Prosecution" was a mis-speak on my part. I was thinking along the lines of civil lawsuits. I think I clarified that in later posts.

First step should be to clean up the primaries and fumigate the DNC. No more Super delegates, no more secret deals. The repubs won( possibly) with a guy who practically had to break his way into the GOP Party and the dems foolishly kept out the guy who could have beaten him. Bernie. Bernie turned out to be a total loser and a sell out, but still. And states electoral votes should be split according to the percentage of the votes each candidate gets.

Remember, the POTUS does NOT directly represent us. He represents the Federal Government.

All elected officials represent the people. Thats the whole idea.

Let it Be? Whatever. Explain that to the demonstrators protesting Trumps election.

Someone else suggested we should unite and work together. Okay, explain that to all the powers that be at the top of the heap who are trying to preserve the status quo, their status quo. You know, what the speech writers mean when they say "we".

Trump is in a whole new place, the political arena, subject to the halls of power. He is going to find he is a fish out of water, alone, and yet one of their own at the same time. They be like, welcome son, welcome to the machine. Here, have a cigar you're gonna go far...

If and when President Trump loses his temper over some OPED piece, and suggests 1st Amendment alterations to allow for the retribution and punishment of free speech, I hope that you speak against it. Many journalist are afraid of just such a scenario.

Throughout his campaign, Trump has launched a series of attacks on the press, ranging from personally attacking reporters to barring critical outlets from covering his events to promising to “open up our libel laws” if he’s elected. Trump also has a long history of suing or threatening to sue critical journalists, and he and a top ally have both invoked the prospect of enacting retribution against media using the government.

Have no fear. I will speak out against any improper action.

That's why I voted for Trump. I want to be able to voice my opinion freely again.

ANYONE insisting on a modification to the electoral college is incapable of understanding basic civics and should be prevented from voting.

I have heard countless idiots insisting that it should be eliminated because Hillary won the popular vote.
People.
The majority of the population of the US lives in New York, Texas, Florida, and California.
If the popular vote is the only thing that matters then those states are the only ones that would matter.
Candidates would spend all of their time, money and efforts courting the votes of those people and the concerns that they have and completely marginalize the rest of the country.
The Electoral college is there for a reason.
It is to provide equal opportunity to all of the population to elect their president.

You want to fix this country then you hit the reset button.
Eliminate popular elections for Senators (they were originally appointed by the State governments so they would have federal representation)
Term limits
Follow the Bill of rights (most importantly the 10th amendment)
Repeal the income tax and re-organize the IRS (National Retail Sales tax)
Amend the Constitution to limit the Interstate Commerce clause (Its not the business of the federal government to be involved in local business).
Amend the Constitution to clearly define US and State citizenship (no more anchor babies)
Secure the borders
Deport illegal immigrants
Streamline the immigration process so that any immigrant will follow the process rather than try to enter the country illegally.
End the war on some drugs
Legalize.
60% reduction in Federal workers.
Eliminate a minimum of 10 federal agencies.
Institute a loser pays civil legal system.

That should take care of the 1st 100 days.

Space, and science. Neil DeGrasse Tyson talks about how 100 years after Einstein's theory that "the big bang resulted in a gravity wave that is still rippling toward us." It got here.

This is the stuff we need to address.

I'm ready for moving on.

No. Nonono...that is not rational thinking.
There is all kinds of coverage today about how the MSM got spanked here, right along with the government. Yes, Trump's campaign caused it to be seen as a naked Emperor. He did that for Congress as well. He outed the establishment, and did it stalwartly and with enormous resiliency.

I do not agree with most of his policies, but I DO think that this is what our country needed. So. Hand grenade launched and detonated.

Mess.

Now we clean up.

First thing is for all those who've been publicly humiliated to own up to it. Sadly, I don't think Trump will ever do that....but that does not minimize the impact of the process.

I and many other millions of people wanted Bernie. Hillary was paraded out to us in the auction ring as the most exquisitely prepared human ever....which she really is.

And we said, "well....wait....what?....I'm....they.....if.....do who in the what now?"

Mess. Now, we step up and clean up together, or we slink away in disgracious bitterness.

I choose step up now.

I disagree. The media has been very hard on Hillary Clinton. The accusations and those emails never let up! There's plenty of media lies on both sides. What disturbs me is, like Trump, yours, and other Trump supporters, desire for retribution against the press for their perceived character slights, in violation of the 1st Amendment.

Donald Trump's rhetoric, during the campaign, wasn't without defaming comment either. He enjoyed his 1st Amendment rights, but want's to take them from the press.

If the press really screwed the pooch during this election cycle, then their bosses should learn from their mistakes, reevaluate their employees, professional commentators, their ratings and their OPED pieces, and fire and hire accordingly, in the future. I don't want to live in a country where the president jack boots journalists, hijacks the 1st Amendment and punishes journalist for reporting the news, as they see fit.

I saw the same thing on both sides. Do you really think attacking the 1st Amendment is the answer?

I admit the right had some (VERY SMALL) violence at some rallies.. I have seen no manipulation of the media, nor lies to character assassinate clinton infact it was almost eerie how silent the right was towards clinton.. There was however scandals that were exposed and subsequently clinton was not prosecuted which also led to the election of donald Trump but all these things are examples of the progressive # ups

and no attacking the first amendment I WOULD NEVER AGREE WITH, it's strange you say that when the progressives have been at hard work doing just that, it's like they hide behind their own actions by claiming moral high ground. It's sick and dishonest
