How can anyone here believe they have their facts straight when the very sources they stand by are the very same sources they claim to be involved in a global conspiracy against them? Are the majority of you so convoluted that you can't see through your own programming? These threads serve nothing but to satisfy the egos of those involved.

These facts people argue over are favored opinion at best. A fact is not the repetition of another's beliefs. A fact is derived from a verifiable first-hand experience with the subject matter, the sun is warm is a fact because we can step outside and verify its truth - there is a shadow government plotting the eradication of a majority of earth's population is not a fact because it's validity is only agreed upon through persuasion. All these threads are is a breeding pit of ignorance, a training course in biases. A training course in delusion.

The biased individual is persuaded by the opinions that he or she finds best suited to their own presumptions about themselves and the world. These types of individuals are utterly guided by their blind emotional states, so much so that they'll assassinate any opinion, or fact for that matter, that may expose their truths as nothing more than false opinions and misguided assumptions. Why can't we be better than this? Why are most of us still so blind? Why do we allow our discussions to be reduced to bitter argument? Why does nothing positive come out of any of these threads?

A majority of you insist that we should fear our world. I insist that you should fear your own biases. Every false belief that you stand by creates a false world for those who interact with you. You're digging your own proverbial grave so that your egos may continue to live.

I'm a fool to even speak here anymore.

You raise more than one important point in this post!

Confirmation bias is a trap that is quite easy to fall for. Especially when one has so much invested in their view of the world.

I find it interesting that you lump the existence of a shadow government and their concerns of "over-population" in the category of fiction. It does not take much research to discover the inter-connected nature of the ruling class of this world. All one needs to do is follow the money and they are most certainly advocating for population reduction, which leads to the question of how and which population?

I am not one for fear, it is a teacher much like love, simply a different experience. However this does not change the fact that we have a powerful network of people that have used their power in the most nefarious of ways.

All one needs to do is look at the extensive research into mind control that has gone on and witness it in action through the main stream media. Most of this fear is downloaded into us when we are young, then it is simply retriggered through our environment and chosen "television programming".

Out of curiosity, what would you consider to be an unbiased perspective?

Okay we get it. You have a pathological hatred of Russia.

Give it a bloody rest.

You're not fooling anyone with this propaganda.

Personally I'm glad at the prospect of improved American-Russian relations. I fail to see what bad can come of it, whereas relations deteriorating to the point of war has terrifying implications.

Remember the pipeline. It's still kind of a pat situation. We need to acknowledge Russians' right to get a fair price for their national product and their dependency. On the other hand Russians, Chinese, Saudis and others simply use the money to get political, military and technological advantage. Once they feel strong enough they recall their original ideology and how they hate capitalism and us.
Russians need to understand that EU countries can't live in a dependency and in a world where gas and oil is used as a political weapon anytime they like. We have a history. The trade wars and currency wars have a history and reasons. They will need to analyse and re-think all of it. For Trump business is a battle and politics is business.
I feel like everything is possible now. If everything goes well and looks fair for T. it can be cool.
However we could see all kinds of war with China as they get the short end of the stick now. They should better sink the artificial island and keep NK's mouth shut like never before. Playing fair could work. Playing hard and dirty not so much.

On the contrary: I love Russia. That's why I hate Putin, who strangled Russian democracy in the crib. After two millennia of brutal authoritarian government, Russia finally had a chance to grow into the sort of society that people like Tolstoy dreamed of... and Putin and his KGB cronies seized power and turned it into a brutal Fascist state, run by gangsters.

There are many areas that the United States and the Russian Federation need to cooperate in, and I am all in favor of this. Unfortunately, Putin sees every situation as a zero sum game. The important thing for him is not that everyone is happy; the important thing is that he wins. Does that remind you of anyone?

Look at all the traitors. Putin is a criminal at best and a dictator at worst. Hes not our friend and the worst kind of company. Instead of playing these stupid games how about we continue to sanction Russia until they learn that in order to have access to all the things America has to offer you have to not interfere in our elections or violate the human rights of its own people.

Anyone who is looking to normalize relations with Putin is likely a criminal themselves. Putin needs to start acting like he has dignity and come back to the world stage as a partner instead of a taker.

It's not just Putin, from here in the Philippines.

Philippines' President Duterte says his country can enhance relations with the US and congratulates Trump, a month after telling Obama to 'go to Hell'

Birds of a feather..You all can determine for yourself the virtue of having murderous dictators advocate for Trump.

The premise that Putin has "began" conversations with Trump is false.

The Trump campaign had regular contact with the Russian government...Despite their previous denials and despite the illegality.

Report: Trump's team had contacts with Moscow during campaign

Russia’s deputy foreign minister said Thursday that officials from his government were in contact with Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, contradicting pledges from the president-elect that he had not interacted with the Kremlin despite numerous statements praising Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Obviously, we know most of the people from his entourage,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told the state-run Interfax news agency in an interview reported on by The Washington Post.
...
“ I cannot say that all of them but quite a few have been staying in touch with Russian representatives.”

Apparently you find disdain in those of us who share like minds and respond to specific topics or mindsets. Your post seemed vitriolic and condescending.

The beauty part..... we all can expound our opinion, and ultimately there are seldom answers of absolute fact, rather a board of opinion. That two or more agree on a specific, should not alarm or lead to the belief that they/we are in any way lemming. There are many, many very astute members here.

You are not a fool to speak here... not at all. Differing opinions are encouraged, and in fact the foundation of 'Deny ignorance', our motto.

Sorry to get off topic. Indeed the Clock used to gauge world destruction has been set back a very appreciative distance counterclockwise.

AND YEA, that's a big deal..

Are you familiar with the illegal America's intervention in the following countries: Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria? What does that make Bush and Obama, and your country? A criminal country which does not respects the international law, same as Russia. In my eyes, there's zero difference between the two countries. It just happens that I lean more towards Russia's foreign policy, as they are the lesser of two evil and don't tend to occupy other countries and overthrow their legally elected governments.

Different countries have different cultures and these cultures are bourne out of the people.

Some people call Putin a dictator, and think he should be removed in favour of "democracy", but this model just doesn't work in some countries.

We heard the same about Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya and now all 3 are a total mess.

This is because in these countries the people are not averse to the idea of using massive violence and fighting to get what they want, if someone is in power some other faction won't like it and will happily kill them to take power for themselves.

When they take power some other faction will do the same thing.

This is why Saddam "ruled with an iron fist" and was "brutal to his own people" because if they don't fear who is in charge they'll simply kill them and take over themselves.

In Russia you had decades of a brutal regime in charge, the people learn that violence is how you control other people.

Give them the chance to vote once every 4 years and swallow the bilge that we routinely take from our politicians and there will be civil war in 5 minutes.

And who says our "democratic" system is so great?

Trump was just democratically elected and you now have people rioting and protecting because he's #notmypresident.

Basically what these people want - and it's always the same left wing idiots - is for everyone to do what they say and if they don't then they are a "bigot", "racist", in this case "evil dictator" - etc.

Imagine if they were in power - they'd make Stalin look like a pussycat.

DJW, I'm afraid I have to tell you, you're going beyond hypocrisy to reach full pathetic mode.

The Russians (who sincerely love Russia better than you) - (and know Russia better than you also) favour Putin by a majority that neither of the US candidate managed to get at this election.
Number two at the Russians elections are the old-school communists and in third place comes the hardcore nationalists.

May I ask you who you would like to see in Russia instead of Putin ?

About the gangster oligarchy, let's check how President Trump will drain the swamp.
