Trump considers himself an eastern replublican. Despite being from a very liberal town and from what I've seen lived a more than liberal lifestyle it is said he doesn't drink and never dabbled in drugs which makes it tough to nail down his true stance on the subject. Having said that, now that he is America's president( I still can't believe that happened) he is free to address the issue the way he really sees it. Being a businessman and the fact he calls for widespread deregulation to let business thrive, he must be aware of the potential billions to be raked in from cannabis. I would see that as a slight tip of the cap in favor of decriminilizing and most importantly growing here to cut off foreign cartels moneymaker, you can bet on that fitting in with the wall and deregulating for more profit and lower crime countrywide. Imo anyway

Yes it will get better. He's clean no drugs no alcohol. Bud is different though, with its cancer healing abilities and third eye opener. But he seems very fair, and i'm sure the individual States will hash it out amongst themselves.

Its so ironic that Hillary people would vote for pot; that the pot states ALL voted for Hillary (basically her only bloc). Yet she was their assured enemy.

Trump may or not be. He couldn't campaign on it as Republican, but what we do have is a history of hi being against all that.

Trump MIGHT be set on dismantling the War On Drugs....

Unlike Clinton who at a private bank speech said she qas completely against it...

1. This thread is about Trump in regards to marijuana. My post was an appropriate response to OP.

2. I've never once said I was a Hillary supporter on ATS. I've only ever voiced opposition to Trump.

I have a feeling he may look to end it nationally but at the border or caught trying to bring drugs into the country may look to criminalize more. I have heard him touch on the heroine scourge and doesn't seem to eager to brush it off. Trumps supporters may not like everything that comes with the Don

Trump does seem to be strongly against heroine. That makes sense. It is killing people.

I don't think pot is a priority to him one way or the other. He does not personally like it, as he said, but he has more important priorities when it comes to being president. I think that's why he is more likely to just let the states decide, as he has said.

What is a priority or at least sounds like one is the southern border. Lock that down and you cut down on drugs big-time. Weaken cartels. Weed would be included im sure. I smoke sometimes and I'm pro Trump but I listen carefully.
