Clinton's charity confirms Qatar's $1 million gift while she was at State Dept

Now we have the Clinton Foundation caught once again.

This time it's a $1 million "gift" from the Nation of Qatar.

Guess what else..........

They forgot to report it to the State Department.

Of course Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State "at the time".

And there might be more "unreported" donations as well.

Scrambling for excuses and gasping for air now.

The Clinton Foundation has confirmed it accepted a $1 million gift from Qatar while Hillary Clinton was U.S. secretary of state without informing the State Department, even though she had promised to let the agency review new or significantly increased support from foreign governments.

Qatari officials pledged the money in 2011 to mark the 65th birthday of Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton's husband, and sought to meet the former U.S. president in person the following year to present him the check, according to an email from a foundation official to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign chairman, John Podesta. The email, among thousands hacked from Podesta's account, was published last month by WikiLeaks.

Clinton signed an ethics agreement governing her family's globe-straddling foundation in order to become secretary of state in 2009. The agreement was designed to increase transparency to avoid appearances that U.S. foreign policy could be swayed by wealthy donors.

And by the way, it isn't really called "pay to play" it's called BRIBERY and it's a felony when you take money in exchange for favors while working at the state department, and especially if you are secretary of state. (That's the top position there).

If you have to go into that much explanation I know the truth. Typical liberal strategy like Politico. They attempt to drag someone down this maze of confusion and fog and then bring you to daylight. Yes, could you clarify the issue with the donation and what if any favors Qatar received that are above and beyond what they normally would get as an ally to the US.

I didn't know it was so profitable to be Secretary of State.

It must be really nice to hang out with people who just give away money like that.

I cannot imagine someone giving me a million dollar gift.

Wondering if there were strings attached to that gift?

Setting aside the legality of it for a moment.

I confess, I'm completely baffled by the notion that its somehow ethically "ok" for appointed officials, elected officials or government employees to accept money from foreign donors, no matter how many shell companies, corporations or charities it's funneled through.

I'd appreciate anyone that thinks it's ok to explain their rational. I mean what am I missing?
