People began shouting as Obama repeatedly told the crowd to “hold up.”
“Everybody sit down and be quiet for a second,” Obama said.
“You’ve got an older gentleman who’s supporting his candidate,” he added. “He’s not doing nothing. You don’t have to worry about him.”

"Hillary Clinton will say anything to get elected. Now she's making false attacks against Barack Obama. The Washington Post says Clinton isn't telling the truth.

I am gonna miss the class that Obama brought to the circus. agree or disagree with his politics, the campaigns themselves were always respectful and just a clash of ideals verses a hatred of people.
Hillary is trying to mimic that, but it simply doesn't work with her. it seems calculating whereas Obama seemed genuine.
And Trump...well, telling people to punch protesters..yeah...

Cue the crowd? He barely kept control over it. That crowd was rabid and smelled blood. Obama probably did it to protect the old guy from getting roughed up or knocked out so it wouldn't look bad for TV.

I seriously hope this was hidden sarcasm.Every time he opens his mouth was some form of rude comment.

Even that , in context can be considered just another rude , snarky set of comments when taken together.

I watched that and I agree about how he handled it.
It's also true he never should have had to do that and the crowds behavior was pretty bad. The crowd was ridiculous in how it responded to one old guy.
When both sides are behaving so badly, it's hard to be impressed with either. Both sides have driven their supporters to act like fanatics and both the candidates need to wear that.

Should have never lied about the ACA. Biggest mistake of his political career. It costs him midterms and his legacy come Tuesday. That is how he will be remembered. A half black man who lied to Americans.

Obama's anger was not about defending the protester.
He was shocked and appalled that his minions did not obey him when he demanded them to shut up and obey their master dictator.
