A Cool Story...(for once)!

With the tidal wave onslaught of political madness and gore-porn saturating the news media anymore it's rare to find a pleasing news story to read.

Here is one such story...

LONDON — One Sunday evening in September, the main hall of a community center here was decked out with ribbons, balloons and a gyrating disco ball that marked a sonic sweet spot — the optimal position for partygoers to enjoy the clean, punchy (and not too loud) sound of five towering speakers arranged strategically around the room, piping a playlist of pop, funk, rock and dance floor gems for all generations.

I have a friend who more or less hosts the same sort of parties at his house.
Invite only, everyone bring a beer and a record to share. He has a pretty awesome sound system and turn table ..

It is rare to find people that want to sit and listen and not just have music on in the background while people talk sports/politics: etc..

It's a good time and only for "real" music fans, nice change from bars and concert venues.
