Listen Up.... It may be the last time you're allowed to.

Listen carefully to the words of President John F. Kennedy in his speech before the American Newspaper Publishers Association. You probably haven't heard this speech. I hadn't.

If you care about America, listen to the wise words of John F Kennedy.

He was fully aware of what was going on behind closed doors.

He was killed for it.

Learn from History.

It was too late for us then as evidenced by what happened to him. The octopus tentacles run deep, very deep.

Sorry but most of ATS has,

its been discussed to death with many thinking its a speech about something that its not.

Learn from History.

What should we learn?

What do you think the speech is about?

A star for your honesty.

Names, i'd love for you to back that up with verifiable names in which to conclude your presumptions.

It's been discussed to death has it? Well even a guy like you is entitled to his unverifiable opinion.

So much for Patriotism huh?

So something from 2012 is supposed to derail me from posting something 'similar' four years later?

How is that a problem?

You wanted 'names'. There are posters in that thread, you've replied to today. What's the issue? The last page is 2016. Other people didn't have issues.

PS. This is the internet. Patriotism? Is that a joke? Do you understand people other than American's use this website?...How are people even supposed to know you're American before this post....on what level does Patriotism even matter here?

That is the edited version of the speech which leaves off a good portion of the lead up to where this one starts. He was actually calling for more secrecy from the press in the wake of the failed Bay of Pigs Invasion.

Here is the full transcript of the speech, entitled The President and the Press, from the Kennedy Library.

You do know if search ATS you have all the verification you want of my "unverifiable opinion".

I see imjack knows about the search function, but I guess they have been a member for a year or longer than you have.

Maybe you might find the tools ATS has and utilize them in future.

So......

any reply to my questions of what we should learn from history and what your opinion is of the speech you have started your thread about with your own ignorant opinion thinking most haven't heard it because you haven't?

Bite your tongue.

Reference to secret societies. A 'State of Secrets' is exactly what we're dealing with right now. The waging of aggressive war under false pretenses and covering it up. Ask yourself why, for instance, Hillary felt the need to use a secret server. What was she using it for?

The whole issue of secretive machinations and cover up to this day is exactly what Kennedy warned us about. He resisted them trying to start a war in Vietnam for the same damn reasons as today: greed and power. Thats why they killed him.

actually, this speech was called "The President and the Press", it was about asking the press to use some discretion when reporting things, as they had just spoiled a secret mission called the "Bay of Pigs". He did this speech 2.5 years before his death, so no, this speech wasn't what got him killed.

A very prolific writer here did a wonderful thread on it and I will link it for you in hopes that you get what he was saying.

I dont care to wonder about Politicians and their actions in my own country,

why would I wonder what politicians in another country are doing.

It wasn't just "The Bay of Pigs".

"Secret Societies are repugnant". Hardly calling for more secrecy.

I replied to the thread by saying sorry most of ATS has heard the speech, its been discussed numerous times in numerous thread and asked a couple questions.

How is that trolling?

You sure you're not stepping out from under a bridge here?

Seriously, I would like to hear how you interpret what I have posted as trolling?

Lol this speech comes up frequently on ats and everyone points and says thats it. He was telling us about the secret government! No the speech was taken out of context. Basically he was telling the press to stay quiet. It was about the bay of pigs where the press found out what the USA was planning before the invasion. However the enemy also found out because our press published it.

What he said was please be silent about government operations and that he understands why the press is important and he doesnt want to hinder free speech because A,B,C.
