Foreword:

I hope this is in the right place. If it is not, then neither am I.

Here goes nothing,
No matter how hard he climbed,
Still some how he fell,
No matter how close to Heavens gates,
He still wound up in Hell,
He fell so deep the rope ran out,
After a while,
People began to doubt,
That he had ever left,
Or ever been,
So long was it since he was seen,

Here goes nothing,
There goes no one,
Here goes nothing,
Still has no one,

Here goes nothing,
In the fires deep passed the time,
Still he carried on,
Scrambling to gain purchase in the slime,
Singing futility's song,
To keep himself awake in dark lights shine,
Without a hope,
Grim of face,
He'd lost the scope,
Of Time,
Of space,

Here goes nothing,
There goes no one,
Here goes nothing,
Still has no one,

Here goes nothing,
He repaired himself a thousand fold,
No matter how often,
All he did in that time was get old,
Nothing to soften,
The sensation so strong and bold,
Of the end,
Approaching swift,
Space bends,
To the will of the rift,
Absorbing all,
Giving nothing back,
Nothing makes sense,
Lost all contact,

All that is left,
Is a tiny spark,
Picked out,
Against total dark,
One point of light,
In shadows bound,
Nothing to see,
No reason found.

Here goes nothing...

Hey man! Good job expressing your feelings! I had a go at it today myself "Best Forgotten". Rainy and overcast here in Boise, Idaho, and enough reason to write.

I think that your words and you are both in the right place.

For what that's worth.

Thank you both, my avian friends!

These are dark times, and they lead a man to dark thoughts. Without some sort of release, it is very easy to become bitter.
