Talk about a crop circle

Found this just now on coast to coast and this gives new meaning to crop circles, doesn't it? Curious thing about crop circles, who are they really for? They can only be determined from above, so who is going to see them unless they fly over them? Do crop circles know about the Internet or drones or planes? The guy that planted these trees to form this was trying to contact something from above? Same thing for the strange lines in Peru or other places, who the heck are they trying to show these things? Not you or me, otherwise why make them so big and only visible from above?

Giant Celtic Cross Found Hidden in Irish Forest

Initially spotted by puzzled airline passengers flying over a forest in Ireland, drone footage has revealed a massive Celtic Cross that had been hidden until now. The enormous arboreal wonder, which was seemingly first noticed this autumn, measures over 300 feet long and more than 200 feet wide. Although the source of the incredible design was deemed a mystery at first, a subsequent investigation determined who was responsible for the epic artwork. According to the television network ITV, a man named Liam Emmery produced the breathtaking visual by planting different species of trees to form the shape of the iconic symbol. Unfortunately, Emmery passed away in 2010 and, incredibly, his family had actually forgotten about the project until they were contacted by the media about it. "If he was here, we'd all have heard about it, because he would have been so proud," his wife told the news station.

Why does he need to be attempting to 'contact' anyone? The NAZI's planted a group of trees in the shape of a swastika, does that mean they were trying to contact someone or just creating an arboreal historical marker?

Seems like a waste of time if no one is going to see it to appreciate it, doesn't it? He just did it for the hell of it? I don't know, I guess it is possible they do it just for the share ridiculousness.

Someone from an airplane would see it and now that Google Earth is available it could be seen from there.

I did something similar to the roof of my house with the roofing tiles that you cannot see from anywhere except from the air. I did it because I wanted to, not to contact anyone.

The trees in your Original Post, just like the roofing tiles on my house, were not placed there to contact anyone.

Yes, my little elfin maiden, and I did appreciate the beauty as well, just curious what the point was? A religious shrine? Message to the strangers above? Just an eccentricity? Curious minds and such, speculation is now my forte, LOL!

I guess we could just appreciate the find and try not to analyze the why. Ahggggg, I hate it when I do that sometimes.
