I was just about to use another computer to contact Norton AV to ask them about my problem, when I thought, "What the heck, I'll just try to boot the thing up and see what happens." It booted up completely normally. I didn't do a thing to it. The only thing I can think of is that the Norton or Windows defender did something on one of the shutdowns or boot ups and it solved the problem.
Anyway, thanks to all who contributed ideas. I do appreciate it.
