A culture that deprives human rights is not a legitimate culture.

So ... The culture of the USA in the past, where women and black people were downtrodden, was never a valid culture. Ditto for all other cultures at the time. They were legitimate and slowly improving.

It sounds to me like you're a believer in cultural relativism.

According to my standard that is correct. I was trying to find out what your standard for a valid culture is. You seem to believe, "Any culture that exists is valid." If that's true then you must support the ISIS and Nazi cultures. That is the essence of cultural relativism.
