Accusations of pedophilia so far range from Bill Clinton to Trump and now Julian Assange. I do not believe this to be true. I hope Julian Assange make it through this fine and quickly.

I agree, this is one tactic that will blow up very badly for those doing it to Assange. Hackers and like minded groups are going to be unleashing everyone's dirty affairs. This should be good.

Pedophile is the trigger word.

Just the insinuation of it causes people to recoil in contempt for the person being accused.

Call someone a murderer, a theif, a drunk, a rapist, or any other vile thing, and it doesn't have the same visceral reaction from people as 'pedophile'.

Even if untrue, it plants a seed like no other!

Doesn't matter- they can't just kill him, they have to discredit him first and make the average person think he's the bad guy.

Disprove it all you want, the average person will see it on the TV and believe it, then they'll bury him under the prison and the people will cheer.

This story is just bonkers.

Even more crazy is anytime we have a discussion about wikileaks after the story breaks Hillary supporters will say, "so you support a Russian spy pedophile and rapist". Which are all accusations, things not aloud to be used as talking points against her. Funny part is, there is actually proof to accusations against her whereas she fights off opposition many times with just stories like out of a fairytale.

I originally misread it to say that the news organization took a million bucks from the Russians to plant the story.

Maybe Hillary is planning on going back to being a lawyer if she loses the election. Then she can defend him and brag about getting him a light sentence. That woman is a vile hypocrite.

Just a suggestion, It is also possible to frame someone with a virus that uploads child porn to a computer. Especially with headlines like this only days ago "The US plans to retaliate against Russia's cyber-hacking campaign with a hack of its own" wouldn't surprise me that it could be possible for the US to frame him.

Internet Virus Frames Innocent PC Users for Child Pornography ... that purportedly frames them as a pedophile or collector of illegal images of nude children.

Edit : it appears allegations are on an online chat/dating site. Which is even more ludicrous, as why would a public figure who knows he's being scrutinized set that up? And how would someone hack one the world's best hackers (they can't) so I doubt they will say it was on his computer.
