It would make an interesting twist for Presidential Elections 2016, but with a twist added to that twist, being, all UFO and Abductee Enthusiasts demand that Aliens be added to the Voter list for President.

Unless of course .. they're already running the show.

E.T. Could Decide 2004 Election (September 17)

2003-12-26 - Weird News Wireless Flash News E.T. Could Decide 2004 Election (September 17) Washington -- The 2004 U.S. presidential election could hinge on how the candidates react to the extraterrestrial issue. Political activist Stephen Bassett is planning to force the candidates to discuss E.T.s by getting citizens who want to know the truth about UFOs to ask George W. Bush, Howard Dean, Richard Gephardt, Joe Lieberman or other candidates probing questions.

Bassett believes if enough people press the would-be presidents, the pundits on news networks will be forced to cover what he claims is a government cover-up of UFO activities. The activist says "UFO disclosure" crosses all party lines and the E.T. issue is especially popular with "the 75 percent of the population that didn't vote in the 2000 election." To that end, Bassett is inviting the presidential candidates to address the UFO community at the 1st Annual Exopolitics Expo, a three-day event being held in Washington, D.C. in April, 2004.

Why is Obama looking down??

Hehe, seriously though, I don't think such a pressure would be that efficient. Disclosure won't happen as long as proof isn't there as a leverage.

Also, I'm not sure if an alien would make a good president.

lol i asked myself that too!

I know, it always comes down to the 'proof' which is near impossible to prove.

I'm not so sure about your third comment however, due to my belief that Obama is an Alien along with most of the rest running that big white house!

Well, the thing is... aliens are, after all, well, alien. With alien ideas and alien goals and alien logic. Lemme give you an analogy: imagine if WE stumbled on some strange alien civilisation. They communicate by forming shapes with their tail, they think that being aggressive with someone is a mark of respect, and to them "death" and "sleep" are the same word - so they have the naive assumption that they are invincible. How does a human govern such a civilisation? How do we decide what's good for them? It's bound to be a disaster.

Same thing the other way around. We have trouble with humans governing humans, now imagine aliens governing humans...

I hear what you're saying. It would be a difficult scenario guaranteed. But.. and there's always a but..
there also comes into play the unknown, such as the hologram theory, the proven scientific theory that humans can manifest things if they're tapped into what some refer to as the ether, mind over matter and all that.

We could be manifesting everything we see simply by believing in it. Seeing is believing as some say, a borg of energies all around us being seen by the mass populace keeping the matrix we believe is real, alive. With all the talk of aliens, could human beings in fact be creating it themselves? This is yet another question to add.

Thank you for your reply!

If aliens were to 'show up' on stage there would be a riot. The power the gubment has over us would evaporate. Everyone would press them for answers, the audience would swarm the stage, pushing world leaders aside as they press the new celebrity for answers, press towards them like rock stars, grabbing at their clothing, pulling on their limbs, tearing them apart. They would have to flee the building like the Beatles after a concert.

Authority would crumble, religions would be in turmoil, the current paradigm would collapse, the whole apple cart, overturned.

The aliens would be the new demigods, worshiped, prayed to.

Nope... best left unseen, behind the world stage. Both sides have agreed to this.

And that... would be most disastrous, possibly worse than even a bonjovi concert! eta(missed your beetles line).

I don't know if people though, to be perfectly honest here, would be as insane as you might think. People have been slowly led into the idea of Aliens since the 1950's. That's 66 yrs. I think people would be shocked at first but they'd get over it quickly.

Keeping it secret would only make the human mind ever more curious.

Thats why they remain hidden, we are left to our devices.

It could shift as well, and transform into something good, right? Or perhaps they've remained hidden until now and are tired of the dumb dumb's running the planet into the ground and about to make their presence known in a good way. That one works for me!
If there's a Down, there's an Up, if there's bad, theirs always good as well. I'll stay positive for now until 2020, and then we'll see what happens.

They've done a 'good job' so far.

Look at all the billions of souls, the crop is ripe, ready for harvest... almost.

I doubt it's going to look like the movie The Pod People. No screaming and pointing fingers at non aliens who haven't been harvested and regrown. But it would be interesting to say the least. All those alien movies had to of had a little truth in them, they always do.

Because the movies make 'sense' sort of. When i say harvesting crops, I don't mean food.

I means souls. 'Good' souls get to move on, irreconcilable ones, into the sun.

Yes and No. harvesting crops could be like 'food' in a non biological sense.

I don't know that there are good or bad souls after they die. I believe all souls return home.

I appreciate your answers though

Plenty of allegory about that written somewhere.

Grapes, harvest, winepress of wrath...

Edit:

Wheres 'home'? Some people are irreconcilable. Now and forever. Its not a hateful act to put down rabid dogs.

Home is where the heart is, but then not all would agree. No it's not a hateful act to put down rabid dogs, but upon death their soul is burned like fire and refined. If you believe that sort of thing.

The maori for example believe this world is Dream Time.

I think certain souls will never leave this gravity well.

Into the 'Lake of Fire thats never quenched', or something.

Imo, the sun.

(PS) I really like your hope all souls will be 'magically' transformed, made pure and nice and all. Just my opinion, theres a certain naivety , I'm a bit more realistic when it comes to bad apples.

I just don't believe this world is what we see, it's all energy, nothing more and that the energy dies when we do. This place is more like hell than anything else, i don't believe it's where i'm from anyway.

The concept of 'Hell' is grossly misinterpreted.
