The next ‘deplorables’? Clinton campaign rips ‘backwards’ Catholic beliefs in leaked e-mails
"One of the most notable reactions to Trump’s lewd comments came from Harvest Bible Chapel pastor James MacDonald, a member of Trump’s evangelical advisory council [membership does not equal endorsement]. Over the , MacDonald denounced Trump’s “misogynistic trash that reveals a man to be lecherous and worthless,” according to email excerpts published with MacDonald’s permission by CT blogger Ed Stetzer.
“I cannot and will not offer help to a man who believes this kind of talk a minor error,” wrote MacDonald. He later noted, “No more defending Mr. Trump as simply foolish or loose lipped.” (The Exchange blog offers more details as well as Stetzer’s reaction.)
The other most notable reaction came from Wayne Grudem, a respected evangelical theologian who drew much attention for his July argument that Trump was a “morally good choice” for president. Yesterday, the Phoenix University seminary professor and co-founder of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood pulled his endorsement from Trump, writing, “I strongly urge him to withdraw from the election.”

So she's going to lose zero votes by calling "conservative Catholics" backwards, compare that to one of the biggest evangelical leaders in the US that wrote a 5,000 word letter on why we should vote Trump is now calling for Trump to step down and pulled his endorsement.
I'm guessing you won't have a post on that Jiucy bit of info will you?

Excellent point. They can throw around "Thomistic" thought and "subsidiarity" and sound sophisticated because no one knows what the hell they're talking about.

I imagine they think it is the most socially acceptable politically conservative religion. Their rich friends wouldn't understand if they became evangelicals.

Ken Auletta's latest piece on Murdoch in the New Yorker starts off with the aside that both Murdoch and Robert Thompson, managing editor of the WSJ, are raising their kids Catholic. Friggin' Murdoch baptized his kids in Jordan where John the Baptist baptized Jesus.
Many of the most powerful elements of the conservative movement are all Catholic (many converts) from the SC and think tanks to the media and social groups.
It's an amazing bastardization of the faith. They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backwards gender relations and must be totally unaware of Christian democracy.

Well I guess he won't need to post it because you did. And believe it or not, catholics and evangelicals are just like everyone else, they are individuals that will make up their own mind.
But I bet if you asked that leader if he approved of Clintons camp bashing Catholics in such a way is acceptable he would sat absolutely not.
The real issue is once again, the campaign that is all about inclusion is as divisive as their opponents, if not more so.
And don't they bash Trump all the time for religious intolerance with Muslims? But its ok fro them to bash Catholics?
But again, just like honest Abe, one set of beliefs for the public, and one in private.

Forgiveness is a cornerstone of the church.
God will get him later.
Right now they should worry about what Caesar wants and pass on judgement that is not theirs to hold.

The problem is your guy has so many known skeletons in the closet that Hillary appears to be a decent choice compared to the other option.

This puts the Clinton Campaign assault on Americans at around 70% of the population by now.
Baskets, Buckets, and Catholics.
Who's next on their list of enemies?

ah yes the "Church".
They brought untold rape, carnage & death during the Crusades, tortured, brutalized & killed an unaccountable number of woman in the name of the misogynistic witch hunts.
Burnt heretics at the stake & most recently have orchestrated the the systematic sexual abuse of children.
Yes by all means lets us revere the "Church".
