ROCK in Gentle Peace BlupBlup

There is no gentle way to say it. I was informed and now, sadly tell you all that our friend BlupBlup died on 28 September 2016, as the result of a standard medical procedure that didn’t work out. It took some time to make sure it was okay with his family to post here.

There is so much that can be said about Blups. He was a kind man and one who expressed his ideas without rancor, but also quite directly. He lived his life fully and loved and laughed and we will miss him. Blups loved to kid and enjoyed stating his case and created a place and camaraderie within the walls of ATS.

A man is not the music he loves, and yet sometimes that music paints a picture of what matters to him. Some of Blups musical favorites he offered while here:

I hope his family can see this and understand how loved he was even on ATS.

I will genuinely miss his posts. Though... the thought of him finding out the answers to all the mysteries makes me happy while the rest of us losers flounder in the dark.

Devastating news.

One of my favorite posters of all time on ATS and was one of my first friends when I joined. I remember joking with him on one of my first posts that his name sounded like bubbles.

We needed you here, one of the few old posters left keeping the sanity and sticking it to the man.

My sincerest condolences to his loved ones.
RIP Blups, gone way too young. You will be missed.

I feel like i should say "What a great member" or something. But that is just not doing the man the justice he deserves. Him being a great member at ATS likely is a result of him being a good person in real life. And while I never knew him personally like that, there are people who did, and who loved him deeply.

Those of you who did love him (you all know who you are out there)...my condolences. Your friend and a man you loved has gone home. Yes, ill grieve not having his mind here keeping me honest or giving me a chuckle. But you will mourn the loss of a piece of your life. My heart is with you.

Good bye Blup. You are already being missed.

Wow, this is truly awful. He was one of my favorite people on here and had a fantastic sense of humor.

Goddammit, I will miss him.

RIP Blupblup, condolences to his family and all...I see a good few of his favourite are ones that we used to do live back a while..

Edit to say, I lost my older brother earlier this year in just the same way.

He was actually a pretty funny bloke... I actually liked him as a member of ATS.

Always blunt and to the point when he had something to say... respect!

I'm not a fanatically religious person, or particularly emotional towards others, for that matter... but I do truly hope his at peace and homeward bound now.

He was always kind to me in a place where many call me obtuse and more.

He will be missed.

I hope his family finds comfort soon.

BlupBlup was part of the ATS family. Undoubtedly. His seat at the table is empty and it leaves a void. We will keep that place open in honor of our fallen warrior.

sorry to hear this. We butted heads a few times, but never remained angry. A family member who will be missed.

Oh man, not again. I hadn't many exchanges with him, but that is sad to hear.
