Gentleman, I just finished my third phone call to NASA-OIG.
Dr. Hertz has never made such a statement or anything thing close to it.
The statement is totally false.

Wasn't sure what this was about, so for others who don't know, a Google search turned up this ATS thread:

Thread about alleged statement by Dr. Hertz

ETA: and yes, good work - actual looking-into / research! Thanks for the effort!

Well played flatbush71!

Checking sources is a pastime too few seem to engage in at the moment, but I am glad to see that you are not one of those who eschews the practice!

Yes, let it go unless there is a word or visual recording of the exact statement. However, too many times officials of NASA and government have uttered telling info than later retracted or denied making the statements.

However, the little flying ball zooming past the exploding rocket should be enough to convince everyone that something is just a bit off in the world of reality we are told to believe.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on this. But you need to go a bit farther than that.

Who, by name (title, etc.), did you speak with? What was their exact statement?

If you're going to debunk a story with the tools of journalism, you have to use all them. The evidence you offered was even less than what was found in the original thread.

For all the so-called debunking that goes on in this forum, it's amazing how few know what actual debunking looks like.

Good point.
I called NASA four times and some guy there told me that Hertz most definitely did say it.
