I know you meant it to be silly but it's a very valid point.

It's no secret that the more you make, the lesser you will spend of your income, in housing/food/utilities etc. The less you'll pay on debts, if any.

We seem conditioned to spend most of our money.

Many corporations lose billions of dollars. Trump is a major real estate developer. It is a go big or go home business. One building might make you billions, the market turns south and you lose a billion. This is only a big deal to the ignorant masses who don't understand real estate or business in general.
