" Trump is a serial cheater, rapist, con man, bigot, tax dodger, all around chauvinist asshole, and possibly a racist. "

Is that just your Personal Opinion of the Man , or do you have some kind of Evidence to make such a Statement without sounding like some Bigoted Idiot Yourself ?

I fight every tax season. I give them the very least that I can. They spend it poorly and then ask for more.

My children, when they received their allowance, would spend it then ask for more. I didn't give it to them, either.

They soon learned to spend the money that was given to them wisely.

Cheater - Divorced twice due to infidelity.
Rapist - Defended himself in court with the line "Everyone knows you can't rape your wife".
Con Man - Trump University, which he is standing trial for in November. An honorable mention goes to his mortgage business.
Bigot - Have you seen his plans for Muslims?
Tax Dodger - Not all the info is out yet, but something shady went down in 1995.
Chauvinist asshole - Literally every time he opens his mouth proves this one.
Potential racist - Mexican plans, wants stop and frisk based on racial profiling.

There's some examples of each. Actual plans from him and things he's done, not just blind accusations.

That's your prerogative, many people have that viewpoint. It's totally contradictory to having a functioning society though. Tax breaks are purely psychological in nature. They exist so you can feel like you're keeping something back against the government and getting a victory. In truth (most) tax rates are set assuming people take deductions, and that they get the needed revenue post deduction. If there weren't a $5000 deduction you could take, base taxes would simply be lower instead.

In which case you would still get the lower tax rate, but save time on your taxes, and potentially not need to hire someone to help with them.

So Trump is bad because he obeyed the law and followed the rules set forth by congress.

Correct?

That's not the point they are making.

Their point is, that he MAY HAVE NOT paid taxes, no matter if it was legal.

I wonder if anyone has done the math concerning how much tax he would have paid without losing the $900 mil?

Probably not enough to buy a starbucks grande.

lol.

They problem is that loss can be carried forward from year to year, so somewhere in the last 18 years he hasn't made enough cash to cover that loss, and just keeps using loss carried forward to absorb any income he might have. It might lead some to believe that he is not near as wealthy or profitable as he would like everyone to believe.

I had clients lose 500 mil, 2008 - 2010, they have now used all of their carried forward losses, and now pay substantial taxes on what they earn.

Our tax code is seriously f'd up, but if anyone thinks Trump will fix that, they need to be examined by a competent medical professional. The tax code favors the wealthy.

It does.

Most things favor the wealthy. I'd say almost everything favors the wealthy.

Name me one thing that doesn't.

(not to be prickish, just illustrating how life is.)

I will agree with you, but tax code does not do any favors to the middle class. I heard an interesting statistic today, to be considered in the top 10% of our income earners in the US, you only have to make 100K a year, I need to do some research.

What I see as unprecedented in this election is the degree to which some of the followers of one candidate or the other, people who are normally at least reasonable and cogent in their expressions, have become rabid reality-denying machines.

(Notice that I didn't mention a "side" before you go there.)

What I see after reading this thread is total denial that people are genuinely disgusted by his policies, or the fact that he has waffled so much on his policies that its clear he 1. Has no idea what hes doing 2. Knows what hes doing and has no intention of doing anything he says. 3. Both and will say whatever it takes to raise his numbers.

Yes we listen to his words, thats why people who dont support him feel the way we do. Because we have LISTENED to what he says, both now and in the past. The man changes his standpoint on issues sometimes within MINUTES going from one news cast to another.

What I see isnt a swath of the American people who dont support him because of how he talks, or how un "PC" he is...

What I see is a large group of Americans who dont support him because they see through the BS, and see him for exactly who and what he is....

What I see is that you are completely and totally in control by those who wish things to remain as corrupt and worse as you accuse Donald of being, you are in lock step with every single mouthpiece and thought policing that has gone on in recent times, you all watch ALL of the media, and have been programmed to have the exact same robotic responses.

This is easy to see, but for you it is a way of life.

A total defense of the most disgusting female in world politics because you do not want aggressive change.

You love to feel good about agreeing with the media in TOTALITY,

Thankfully more than half of the world can see that it is time to give something else a run at this, and not hand things over to the most corrupt campaign in Democratic History.

Either way, whomever wins, these times are over, why not go against all the quacking you have heard in the media, and think for yourself.

But oh wait, nothing exists on the internet for you to read that says anything bad about Hillary save for here....and you think we are the fools ??

You are a wise man, the focus needs to be on the fraud, waste and abuse in our Government spending. Have been on both sides, military and then selling to gov't, it needs to stop.

Seriously, Trump is not a victim of Hillary's supporters, the media, Hollywood or ANYONE. He has created the monster you see before you. And he's lovin' every minute of it. He deserves everything that comes to him from this.

What monster ??

Again, anyone who had not been affected by the insanity of the media on this topic, so rabid I think it has to be funded by Israel, would see that the monster is clearly something else entirely.

And it is running for its life.

Well, there ya go.

1995 was a long time ago.

So we can safely guess he's used up his loss credits and now pays taxes.

And if past behavior of the IRS is taken to account, they be slow walking his audit just to cause this type of BS.

The 90th percentile begins at a pre tax income of $64,858. $100,000 puts you at the 96% percentile.

I have never been offended by Trump's lack of political correctness..

It is his message and the manner in which he unabashedly panders to the worst of people's nature.

You genuinely believe he has gotten anywhere near the worst of people's nature ??

You are truly a product of this brave new world, trust me you were gotten to long ago and hate the fact this way of talking was programmed into you all to be the very devil itself, you are all acting like the church did to witches, like a herd of cattle.

And NOR would I go around bragging about what a genius business man I am when I lost that kind of money. On a casino, no less.

I wonder how he pays for his gold toilets, and is funding this campaign if he has zero income? It's all a big lie, Les.

You don't seem to comprehend context in any form. He had negative income in one year shown so far, in 1995.

If you have negative income there is nothing to tax.

If the law allows one to apply a loss over a period of time, any professional tax consultant will advise to follow the law. If he did follow the law and make the decision to apply the loss over time as per law, then he has every right to say it was smart because not doing it would be the opposite of smart.

Hillary has become enriched through the non taxable Clinton Foundation, where is the outrage? Remember she said she and Bill were poor, ie bankrupt when they left the oval office.

She is a hero for being bankrupt but Trump is a bozo according to MSM propaganda.

The State Department misplaced mountains of money while she was in charge....that wasn't her money it was taxpayer money, our loss on her watch. Was that smart? Giving her access to even more tax money is supposed to be smart?

While she was working at the State department the country got poorer as the deficit rose while she got richer working for the same government. Let that sink in.

If you owned an estate and were losing money while the top employee of your estate was getting filthy rich, what would your conclusion be?

Probably not when he claimed a NYC credit for those making less than 500K, the audit has nothing to do with releasing his tax forms. He is hiding something, we just don't know what. Hillary has been vetted for 30 years, Trump not that long, will be interesting to see what comes out. Not voting for either of them.

Trump has proved himself time and time again to be a mysoginistic, racist asshat. Hillary doesn't even have to write commercials, she uses Tump's own words. What bothers me, is that there is a fair percentage of the American public that feels the same way, according to their defense and support of this asshat. He has painted America in such poor light, I am surprised any of you can actually claim, I love America. I agree that Hillary sucks too, but a vote for the Donald is a vote for, I don't even know what.

Politics is like theatre. From my own tastes, the better actor is rarely the better human being.

Then you're contradicting yourself by supporting Trump. Trump's the one with the laundry list of literal acting experience & acting credits (like HERE and HERE). He's been a star in pop culture since at least the 1980s and even had a little stint in the WWF/WWE.
