Wicked bit of writing Misanthrope.

Bravo

I'll weep for the loss of your writing talent when the mob burns you at the stake while shouting "Blasphemer"

I see the tolerant left has come waving torches after Les Misanthrope nailed his thesis to the doors of the political church in ATS.

Krazy has clocked out for the day but I'm sure he will be back at 8am tomorrow morning to help correct the record.

Politics is like theatre. From my own tastes, the better actor is rarely the better human being.

You are condemning people for vocalizing their "tastes" and then engage in the same act yourself.

That is hypocrisy and does not help make the case that Trump is some heretic. It just proves that you are no different than anyone else and Trump is just the flavor that satisfies your "taste".

what standards do you employ whilst evaluating someone's competency to serve as President of the United States of America?

Personally I think nearly a half-century of leadership experience is a sign of competency.

Strange, because I find his professional history to be one of the primary examples of his lack of competency.

Trump Vodka?...Nobody wanted it
Trump Mortgage?..Launched 12 months before the housing collapse
Trump Airlines?...Bankrupt
Trump Steaks?...Didn't sell
Trump Water?..Might be back in business as his campaign docs showing him paying outrageous amounts for it.
Trump Magazine?..bankrupt
Trump University?...Outright fraud being prosecuted in several states.

And his construction projects left behind bankruptcies, lawsuits and unpaid contractors.

Of course, everyone is familiar with Trump’s real estate failings.

In total I see a man who began with a 15MM stake from his father and grew that money by exploiting those around him, convincing them to invest and then absconding with their money via the bankruptcy laws once his ventures failed, as they all inevitably do.

Are you aware that analysts have pointed out if he had placed his initial stake from his father in a standard index fund he would have more now than he does after all his frauds and exploiting of the bankruptcy laws?

He does "play" the billionaire role well though...even played one on TV.

She has no real experience.

She bedded a man who became POTUS.

She became a Senator to a State that she never belonged to and did absolutely nothing of any significance while holding the position.

She failed to gain her party's nomination in '08

She was handed the job of Sec of State by Obama, having zero schooling or experience in foreign affairs, used the position to enrich her own family's Foundation to use as funding to run for POTUS.

In conclusion all she has experience in is positioning herself and funding herself to make a political run for office.

Correction: You are condemning people for having different tastes than your own.

The trite and obsequious claims of “Trump is not presidential” are conformist and moralist in nature. If the demeanor and oratory abilities are of your prime concern, then you only prove your desire for custom, conduct, and posey, and other vain snobberies—not much else.

This quote from your OP sums it up nicely. You are engaging in that which you claim to denounce.

And again, still nothing to show how Trump is an actual heretic.

Like I said in the OP, if his failures are a sign of his presidency, surely his successes must be as well.

Abraham Lincoln went bankrupt before his presidency. So did Thomas Jefferson. That isn't an argument, but I think it shows that bankruptcy has no bearing, especially given economic forces. Nonetheless, despite the bankruptcies, Trump still stands, and still employs tens of thousands of people.

Breaches of contracts are subject to suing, and if Trump was found in breach of contract, judgment would be rendered by the courts. Or maybe the contractual obligations were not filled, and he refused to pay, like anyone else in the entire world would do. One-sided arguments, once again.

The violence and vandalism against Trump’s supporters, the perverted mockery of Trump’s body, the outright scorn and hatred thrown against a human being running a campaign in a free society

This is what shocked me the most. The savage attitude of ordinary people on the street.

I'm recently killing time watching SJW fails on youtube...humored and scared at the same time. The level of aggression of these people is unbelievable to me. It's like wild beasts left out of the cage.

It's reality TV at its scariest. Watching all this made realize even more...why people want Trump. It all makes sense. Action-reaction. Yin...meet Yang.

edit:

oh yeah...brilliant OP.

Did honest Abe declare himself the "King of Bankruptcies" and brag how exploited the bankruptcy laws to profit from other investors losses?

Trump has used the bankruptcy laws the way a bank robber uses a gun.

I believe his debts...recently disclosed 500 Million to Deutsche Bank alone ...outweigh his self-claimed assets.

Shortly after his failed presidential campaign, I suspect we will see him once again descend into bankruptcy.

Intolerance, oppression, violence dressed as moral superiority. It is the worst kind of cruelty.

More prophecy. Trump has done what any other person in his position would do. Perhaps you yourself would fold during times of economic hardship, but Trump clearly doesn't.

What I see as unprecedented in this election is the degree to which some of the followers of one candidate or the other, people who are normally at least reasonable and cogent in their expressions, have become rabid reality-denying machines.

(Notice that I didn't mention a "side" before you go there.)

What I see after reading this thread is total denial that people are genuinely disgusted by his policies, or the fact that he has waffled so much on his policies that its clear he 1. Has no idea what hes doing 2. Knows what hes doing and has no intention of doing anything he says. 3. Both and will say whatever it takes to raise his numbers.

Yes we listen to his words, thats why people who dont support him feel the way we do. Because we have LISTENED to what he says, both now and in the past. The man changes his standpoint on issues sometimes within MINUTES going from one news cast to another.

What I see isnt a swath of the American people who dont support him because of how he talks, or how un "PC" he is...

What I see is a large group of Americans who dont support him because they see through the BS, and see him for exactly who and what he is....

No more so than your own?

Edward Abbey once said "Orthodoxy is a relaxation of the mind accompanied by a stiffening of the heart"

I subscribe to his definition and it well describes Trumps pandering pseudo-conservative speak.

I resent that!

Seriously, Trump is not a victim of Hillary's supporters, the media, Hollywood or ANYONE. He has created the monster you see before you. And he's lovin' every minute of it. He deserves everything that comes to him from this.

Trump's dialect and way of speaking again. I get it. You do not like it.
