In Texas here, obviously. We are doing open enrollment, and have had no change in price or coverage from the prior year. we really took it in the shorts in 2011/2012, though.

Its still way less value than i was getting pre-2010.

There is a reason the passed this garbage at 11pm on Christmas Eve..

What a farce...

Texas is going to be unimaginably more expensive in the next 3 years as implementation ramps up...

Have u noticed all the boutique medical centers popping up not offering ER services...

They are paying board certified MDs much more money hourly than hospital...

Especially those who are fellows in the American college of emergency physicians(FACEP)
As they can advertise this to their well healed clientele...
My better half gets calls almost daily offering near 30% over her high acuity job downtown...

And since it's so easy and pays so well she is doing at least 3-5 shifts per month..
Since these places are dying for board certified ed dra they offer crazy incentives...
For instance all our family gets free clinical visits...so free scans, stitches and anything else they can accomplish without a transfer to a trauma center and/or specialist...

Again, these stand alones are the canary in the mine that healthcare is stratifying...
She would have never considered such a job back in med school...
But we do what we must to insure our family is taken care of...pun intended
She still works 80% for shifts that a level one trauma center but the affordable care act has put us into a corner with acquiring one us to do this ...

Next time u drive through an affluent part of any city in Texas look at the stand alone clinics popping up in every corner...

The stand alones stay above regulation and oversight by not taking medicare/Medicaid and catering to the very well healed...
It's a model for caste societies...not America...the ACA is ruining our egalitarian medical system...

I think a lot of people have figured out that it`s cheaper to pay the fine and not have insurance than it is to pay the monthly premiums and the $10,000 deductables that obamacare has offered.

Yep. For example, a 50 year old will have to make over $600,000 in income before his/her penalty-tax-fine is the same price as their insurance premium. (The 2016 penalty is 2.5% of your annual income)

Really? Because most of the opposition I've seen concerning 0bama's policies are ideological and have little or nothing to do with his race. Maybe that's because he's half white ... but I'm not a hater ... and therefore can't tell ya that's a fact.

Looks to me like Obamacare is collapsing. Somebody should have checked under the hood to see how socialized medicine is engineered in a working model ... seen what kind of fuel it runs on and in what quantities.

If everyone was working for a living, we could expect to give up 30% of our earnings to the beast. The Rich aren't paying taxes (go ask Trump) and neither are the poor. That means the middle class is gonna have to give up even more.

I'm a healthy guy. When I'm not healthy I pay my healthcare costs right out of pocket (for very personal reasons).

Question: Why should I pay into a healthcare plan to support other people who don't (or can't) contribute?
Question: Does this not reek of Socialism?

I hope people pay attention the next time a law come up for a vote and no one has taken the time (or has no opportunity) to read the damn thing.

Why people think what they think about Obama depends on your personal experience. I can't name one Obama opponent where I'm from that can name one of his policies besides obamacare. The pic posted at the first of this thread that's since been removed was a blatant example of this. Why I said what I said.

Obamacare IS collapsing, and no program anywhere is going to be 100% for all the people involved in it. I'm able to get insurance and go to the doctor for the first time since 1998, so yeah I support it. One of the main reasons behind obamacare's failure in some aspects is the other side of the party aisle holding it up and shooting it down every chance they get. Why let helping people get in the way of partisan politics?

Why should I pay into a healthcare plan to support other people who don't (or can't) contribute?
Empathy? Maybe because these people NOT having basic healthcare is a bigger drain on society and your tax dollars?

Does this not reek of Socialism?
Yes, it does. As do roads, the water company, schools, electricity and numerous other basic things everyone uses every day. I fail to see the big socialist boogeyman (unless you're talking about Trump's advisors Kremlin ties).

i live in a small town that is, essentially, a ghetto left over from prior more golden years when oil was productive domestically.

We had a new clinic pop up, but its an urgent care clinic specializing in indigent care.

The whole damn law is just a money grab to put the finishing touches on the elite underground bases. Other than that we all should really steer clear of western doctors and medicines unless your leg is broken or something serious.
