This narrative ignores the fact that new industries are created and emerge all the time. But even then if there is no need to do work, doesn't that free people to do things like create art? Why is that a bad thing?

It's not bad if we really are free to create art and stuff. But where does the money come from for food and shelter if there are no jobs? Do you honestly think a corporate state will support the unemployed and unemployable?
