Stevens is one of those guys that leaves me staring at the walls after reading. There ought to be either a story or a song with Order, but the only guy I know of that has set a Stevens poem to a tune, if indirectly, was Jimmy Buffett who sort of hid references to "The Emperor of Ice Cream" inside "The Wino and I Know".

I'm surprised no-one's done it. Surely LASFS has had someone set it to filk.

You can find all sorts of filk like this...

Check YouTube, there are several Green Hills variants, the top one sounds like Woody Guthrie.
