Well, in little publicised news on both sides, it looks as if the time is upon us for "the great showdown". Well, if you listen to ISIS and the crap they prattle on about in there wildest dreams / internet websites.

The destination in question is Dabiq, a small out of the way town that has been earmarked (by ISIS only) as the final showdown between "US and Them".

In reality, it's a small loosely defended town with few houses, back up by a diminishing and scattered handful of hopefuls still living the ISIS dream.
Turkish soldiers backed up by 40 or so crack US troops are ready to give it a smashing and probably level the whole place. The US want nothing better than boots on the ground in Dabiq, which in a very real reality will give a throat punch to ISIS and their band of not so merry men.

I for one will be settling in and grabbing the popcorn for this one.

www.news.com.au...

THE first shots have been fired in Islamic State’s prophesied ‘final’ battle. But will US and Turkish troops advancing on the town of Dabiq really trigger armageddon?

The insignificant town is little more than a cluster of houses in a remote, flat Syrian field.
There are no riches here.

Not even an important crossroad.

But there is an old Islamic prophecy that places the town firmly at the beginning of the ‘end of days’. It is where the forces of Islam and Christianity are supposed to meet in decisive battle.

But it's going to be Turkish soldiers taking them on. Turkey is over 96% Muslim. So it's a decisive battle between Islam and Islam?

Given Turkey's slant to the West because of Ataturk, you could say it is a proxy. And if American soldiers are in the mix, ISIS is not likely to make the distinction.

I highly doubt it.
Not a Hadither myself.

But I doubt it for many reasons.

What bothers me is the recent attempt (I assume) to capture an airbase in Turkey that housed our nuclear arsenal as far as I know.

Well? I guess not, but from all of the grandstanding and gobbing off they have been doing over the years, it's a bit like a title fight? It's been promoted for years, both TV, INTERNET and even in paper publications. Not to mention the constant diatribe they spruke at the mosques. It's all there to see and hear....if you're in to that sort of thing? However, loose this one, it boils down to one major thing. and that is........

"You're Sh!t, and you know you are"

All this gobbing off and great predictions have boiled down do a meager band of bearded desperado's with a pocket full of shells.

They are surrounded by all accounts and I believe it is going to rain sh!t from above very soon.

Bye Bye ISIS

ISIS did an awesome work. Made a hell in Syria and reason to put UN (Turkish, US) troops in Syria, so they are no more need. ISIS will disappear, but the war is still there and will be even more bloody cause of turkish aggresion.

Oh yeah, for sure. No doubt at all.

But the whole historical "mission" and "prophesy" is a complete laughing stock.

Syria will fade and just like that Isis will become just another bunch of hopefuls giving the larger Muslim world a bad name.

I doubt they were the first shots fired in that sand pit.

Isis better hurry up and gather their forces there so they don't miss the big one, then some holy fuel air bursts can finish them off in an instant.

Erdogan has pulled Turkey back to a more religious state. presumably he wants to be a player in the muslim world.

Turkey has remained highly secular for a number of decades and continues to be so till this day. However, the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) under the leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, former Prime Minister and now President have reversed some of the laws introduced by Atatürk and have in effect, made Turkey more Islamic..“We want to raise a religious youth,”

“Do you expect the conservative democrat AK Party to raise an atheist generation? That might be your business, your mission, but not ours.

it seems to me that a zealot centered Turkey (neo-Ottoman Caliphate) with a USA ally will be the 'Bad Guys' that take over 'Dabiq' and replace the ISIS/IS caliphate with a more Tyrannical form of end-times Union-of-Evil that unifies a Fascist-Dictatorial form of "Islam of Turkey' with the high-tech/progressives of the USA version of a Feudal State

...Feudalism was a combination of legal and military customs in medieval Europe that flourished between the 9th and 15th centuries. Broadly defined, it was a way of structuring society around relationships derived from the holding of land in exchange for service or labour...(WIKI)

(recall that the AC Empire, rewards those who submit to the 'image-of-the-beast' with Land !)

'IS'/ISIS and the present status of Dabiq, is just the warm-up phase... the 'real', 'end-times' Hadith about the future role of Dabiq as the 'Attractor' location will become realized only after the peasant army of ISIS are removed by the hardened army of the Turk led caliphate, consisting of 10 nations and the Allies to the Caliph, like the future USA...
without a Trump leadership.

No, he spent most of his time bombing civilians and Syrian rebels while looking the other way to avoid seeing Assad's human rights violations.

Putin can't afford to hit ISIS too hard, because Assad buys his oil off them.
