You mean when ISIS formed or when you , the media or the public started talking a bit them? Because being uninformed as a person doesn't make something a fact.

Additionally I love how "awakened minds" point to problems or scenarios with explanations changing from second 0 to when a root cause analysis finshes as being an indication of something nefarious.

Life, and it's associated problems, do not follow the script of a t.v. show. I was involved in an outage at work recently where something went offline so in an attempt to get info out to our user base quickly some assumptions were made based on the symptoms. As troubleshooting completed turned out the cause was much different. That is the way troubleshooting, fact gathering works but it doesn't mean Mulder was involved.

For me, I find it perfect logical that what is initially reported is more often then not incorrect but that information is out out there because if you say nothing people cry "its a blackout" .

Bombs and fires in dumpsters also serve as diversions for committing crimes elsewhere. Cops are busy with the diversion while the crime is being committed across town.

Sorry to but in, don't know whats come of this 'mayhem' in a dumpster and I'm not reading twelve pages of omygosh with flashing lights and sirens.

Yeah but this isn't some wild action flick. Most people aren't crazy enough to risk becoming terrorists on top of bank robbers by taking obscene risks with garbage bombs for what "might" result the police being slightly delayed. I think you watch too many action movies.

There are 35,000 police officers in New York City, you are not going to 'create a diversion' by placing a bomb in a dumpster.

Movies got it from real life. Diversion is an ancient military maxim.

Of course I don't know what the intent here is. Do they have a reason yet for why dumpsters were 'attacked' instead of say, the Subway?

Nether are you going to terrify a populace by blowing up dumpsters and garbage cans. The real terrs attack clusters of people, not clusters of garbage.

Sorry, did I bring terrorism into the conversation? Just pointing out that your silly movie premise does not work in real life New York City.

Probably not the best wording if you had anyone that died in those events because I'm sure they would disagree about that being the good old days.

Me personally, being snarky is to be expected when online but others may not feel that way.

Oh, so you know who did this then. Do tell...

Your post about it maybe being another terror attack in another thread.

The Chelsea incident certainly looks like a terrorist action but until there is a suspect I am not going to try to pin it on someone.

Are you not able to follow along with your own conversation?

You said you can commit a crime elsewhere in Manhattan by creating a diversion by placing bombs in a dumpster since it works in the movies. I said you cannot because there are 35,000 police officers in the city. At what point did I bring up terrorism and who may or may not have done this?

Stop your silly goal post shifting.

You don't need to call in 'Dick Bimbo P.I.'...to know this was an act of terror.

That is from an entirely different thread and not the conversation we are having here where you think you can go on a crime spree because you blew a dumpster up.

Try to stick to the thread discussion here, if you want to engage my comments from another thread try posting in that thread. You have been here long enough to know how the place works.

Dumpsters? Possibly because the perpetrators weren't your typical fanatics and wanted to have a chance of causing problems without paying the consequences for it. Less damage but lower personal risk.

Not every terrorist or crazy asshole is looking to be one shot wonders.

In this thread.

You know, where you think you can blow up a dumpster and divert the NYPD away from some other part of the city so you can rob a bank or something because you saw it in a movie. Following along?
