Hey? Other than the arguing and banter...arent WE the nicest forum out there? We (ok, me Im overly critical) are at least helpful and insightful.

And when someone asks for help or advice, they get loads of it from ATS. Granted, not all constructive...but at least we care about each other enough to reply!*

*There are some really, really nice religious forums...but they are overly suspicious to me

I'll start by naming the roughest one first: the old Age of Conan forums. My goodness, there were some heated rivalries going on there and it often led to politics. It was crazy (but so much fun).

As far as people who are actually nicest? In my experience, I find them on forums that focus on personal and spiritual growth, including some niche interest forums. I think the most kindness I come across is on polyamory forums (I only frequent two of them). I think it's because of the subject matter that requires a person to work on themselves quite a bit to even grasp. So, if a person is even there, they have at least put in some work to understand the need and benefit of being supportive and kind.

There have been times in the past when I would have actually listed ATS as a kind(er) place on the internet. Those days have long since passed.

I'm a science geek so the Physics Forum is a place I like to hang out in when I'm not here.

The debates there are more on the academic side than on the ad hominem side. It's a nice place to calmly browse around the different subjects feeding my forever hungry cranial sponge-like grey matter with new and interesting knowledges.

I`m new to this forum,cause AlienHub is dead.

ATM is the best forum.
