I was rewatching this movie last night, and to be honest.. The movie kinda sucks, but when it was released, geeez.. It was amazing, mostly cause of the effects..
Its funny to see how a number of three hundred can stand against a whole army, even move nations. Last i heard this story was about the three hundred kurds who fought against 10.000 ISIS.. I never heard the unfolding, but usually the heroes in those stories dies in the end.

300 was great when it was, now.. Its a better story..

Steven Pressfield's book Gate of Fire is an excellent fictionalized account of the Battle of Thermopylae. I highly recommend it.

Yeah... thats a good one too

the second song was what hooked me... very dramatic and emotional music to listen to while you look over Sparta

The places where the people lived, and the very spot where the great battle took place

I've watched that video so many times i can't even count

I second that. Gates of Fire was a good read.
I was actually yhinking of reading that again a few months ago, but bloody Brandon Sandersons Cosmere series consumed me. Now im onto Brian Staveley Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne which is looking good.

But if you have not read the Cosmere series do it!! Brandons now my fav author.

I agree 300 was awesome for me and still is. But then again an ordinary medieval movie or show interests me
