A strange thing is happening since Hillary has been exposed doing Clinton Foundation business while she was in her official government capacity as Secretary of State.

Now all of a sudden we see many media organizations calling for the Clinton Foundation(s) to shut down !!!

Wonder why ?

Could be just controlled opposition or feigned outrage.

Maybe these media companies are genuinely concerned about government corruption and are now worried about a Hillary presidency?

Of course, even if they do shut it down, it will simply join with somebody else who has less exposure.

11 Calls to Shut Down Clinton Foundation from Left-Wing Media

New reporting on allegations that Hillary Clinton used her position as Secretary of State to sell access to major Clinton Foundation donors — charges first detailed in Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer’s New York Times bestselling book Clinton Cash — have led to a flood of calls from left-wing and center-left media for the Clintons to shut down their multibillion-dollar charity.

Below is a list of eleven of these establishment outlets and journalists urging the Clintons either to shutter the Foundation or pass off its assets to some other unaffiliated nonprofit.

At the gas station last night I saw both newspapers (including USA Today) had a CF article on the front page fold. USA Today was covering the Turkish coup guy, and it was pretty much the entire front fold.

Wouldn't be surprised if its happening because of the possible ramifications on the election, as more dirt gets tossed out the more independent voters are asking questions... the more she deflects rather than answers the more independent voters start looking elsewhere... and thats bad for business.

I think they are offering the Clinton's a way out but keeping it "all in the family."

Here's what "USA Today" stated from your article:

The USA Today editorial board said Wednesday that “the only way to eliminate the odor surrounding the foundation is to wind it down and put it in mothballs, starting today, and transfer its important charitable work to another large American charity such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.”

Hopefully the tides are getting ready to roll. maybe MSM is starting to listen to Assange as well as others that have brought forth damning allegations.

It's being used as a slick way to conduct quid pro quo, it's as simple as that.

I just hope he hurries up with this next release (wasn't there an alleged, attempted assassination the other day, and police took over 2 hours to respond when it should have taken them 20 minutes or less?

Although I would bet even if someone did manage to "permanently silence him", that he has backups and failsafes to still have the damning info released - I would hope he would be that smart at least

I hope that the media is finally getting a conscience.

The problem is - if they are now admitting that this arrangement is a problem for a presidency, then it was the same problem for a Secretary of State.

And - even if they shut it down now, Clinton is already owned by the millions the foreign influences have already paid.

I wonder what Bill Gates thinks of this. Remember when he was 'warning' all the elites about hoarding their cash? How he stressed the good his own foundation was doing in the world? -chuckle

Looks like the chickens are about to return to the roost!!

Ahhhhahahahaha!!

He should probably worry as his foundation I am sure is one in the same, possibly worse in ways.

Hillary is just like most politicians and businessmen-funded by proxy.

The Panama papers and the lobbyists are just the tip of the iceberg IMO. The problem is that the politicians are getting more clever at hiding their tracks, we know of their immorality but they can hide their illegality.

As for Assange...well he might be living on borrowed time. Many politicians could be ousted and he could be murdered by proxy. We could read a headline saying 'Ecuadorian embassy bombed by Islamic extremist' and we all know how crafty secret services are. However I don't believe it will happen because if any harm were to come to him if he released information then fingers will be pointed.

Well, would you look at that. That right there is the stark difference between conservatives and liberals. Liberals are not blindly defending Clinton whereas Trump supporters lie almost as much as Trump himself to defend him.

From your link:

Writing in The New Yorker, John Cassidy argues: “Rather than torpedoing the foundation, it would surely make more sense, at least for the duration of a Clinton Presidency, to separate it from its founding family and turn it into an independent organization run and overseen by people unconnected to the Clintons. The reforms that Bill Clinton announced on Monday go some way in this direction, but not far enough.”

I would think this is the best way forward, personally. If they want to re-establish ties to the Foundation after the Presidency, then that is their right as citizens, no?

People seem to think that it is a simple thing to shut it down, when the reality is there are programs running on the ground that directly help people in need. It would be inhumane to simply shut it down entirely. Transfer leadership and separate it cleanly from the Clinton's, including Chelsea, and have no one in double-employ or volunteering with the foundation that is also working for Clinton in her administration.

People are being callous with their "shut it down" rhetoric. There is a better way, where the Clinton's are removed from chains of influence within the Foundation, and the WORK of the Foundation (which seems to be ignored here) can continue without harm to the ground operations.

I pay very little attention to any main stream commentary, but from what I have read most of those media organizations listed have treated Clinton with kid gloves. They couldn't ignore the hard evidence concerning how corrupt it was, so as usual the deflections and whitewashing tactics are used.

I suspect that these media outlets are doing what they have been told to do in order to not have to start asking those hard questions that they should have been all along.

The powers have forced an admission of Clinton sins, and those same powers shall wash them away.

What a circus.

The Gates are the biggest contributor to the CF. www.clintonfoundation.org...

Corrupt elites always have each others backs. Those two camps want the same for the rest of the world.

I wonder how much land in Paraguay, next to Bush's 100,000 acres a billion will buy? They'll need the extra 2 or 3 for living expenses and private security of course.

Cheers - Dave

There is nothing callous about it. It's a planned strategy that has a proven track record.

Exactly what great work is the CF doing?

there is no "there" there...provide the evidence, and I'll listen, until then it's right-wing garbage...no innuendos, no maybe's, no theories, no speculations, no "i heard people say".......evidence, period

why would you even ask "what great work is the Clinton foundation doing"? how can you even say "it's a planned strategy" when you don't have a clue as to what the foundation does? ....are you incapable of doing any research on your own?...quit attacking something you know nothing about.

Sounds like they just want it shut down so their own complacency with the corruption won't be eventually exposed.
