That ain't gonna work down here in Louisiana. In Cajun country, women still like men.

Metrosexual man-bun wearing gun fearing sissy boys need not apply.

THIS!!!

For me, a tough guy with a gun is a sexy thing!!

Or, check the avatar, lol!

I want a MAN when I want a man, not some wimpy thing.

Then you should be OK with the film. While the men in it are not those chunks of man meat packing heat that you posted, they are gun loving americans and not metrosexual sissy boys with man-buns.

And, this can't be stressed enough, it's a comedy. Maybe not all that funny to some but it's not supposed to be taken seriously.

Not happening. I have less than zero interest in watching some anti-gun, or anti-male piece of propaganda. "Let's dress like sluts and tease the men, then demand they throw away guns if they ant sex" isn't a plot line I care about, and I don't see how it could possibly be funny. It's just propaganda. I will lump it in with the new "Ghostbusters" fiasco, that won't ever see a dime of mine. Couldn't pay me to watch either one. I'd rather go see Will Farrell, and I detest him.

Just out of curiosity, where did I whine about the movie at all?

In fact, I defended the people's right to make the movie, and actually said that I'd probably watch it at some point in my life.

Damn, get some reading comprehension and get off of the defensive posture for a second and realize that I could care less if this movie--or 50 more just like it--ever gets made. I mean, I appreciate that you characterize my assertion that there is a large amount of hypocrisy going on as "faux whiny outrage," but I never said any of the things for which you say that I am being berated. In fact, I see movies and music as being just that--forms of entertainment that are nothing more than a way to escape real life for a little bit of time. Anyone who is influenced by said movies in an ideological way is just a sad person without much intelligence, IMO.

Anyhoo, it's almost as if you've got the wrong guy, but saw me as an easy target because I called you out so you figured that you'd lump me in with other people in this thread. Seems like legit, intelligent criticism to me.

Guns are for wimps. Point and shoot - where's the bravery, courage and strength in that?

I like a man who could kill someone without any weapon except his own body. Now THAT'S a real man.

No problem but your replies are still not logical because the movie doesn't showcase sissy boys. Just pointing out how much of a knee-jerk some of the reactions to the movie are.

I like how we men, who don't own guns, are portrayed as "man-bun wearing, metrosexual sissy boys who are scared of guns".

I'm a 6', 200 lb bearded man who looks like a cross between a body building Jesus with a beer gut, and Charlie Manson. I've been at my same manly job in the automotive industry for 15 years, work 50-60 hours a week and come home to my manly duties like taking the trash out, etc... I support a family of 6 without welfare, just hard work.

When not at work I go fishing, ride motorcycles, drink beer, participate in BBQ competitons, restore muscle cars, spend time at my lake house where I have manly devices such as boats, jet skis, etc..., and play guitar in a fairly successful death metal band.

I'm not scared of guns, not even a little. I grew up on a farm and shot guns with my dad and brother on an almost daily basis. My ex-wife went through police academy and I helped her learn how to shoot.

I've had a gun waved in my face and I neutralized the situation with my fists.

My home was invaded 2 months ago and I neutralized that situation with nothing but intimidation, no violence needed.

Guns don't make you manly, that's the literal definition of "compensation". I have nothing to compensate for... And I really just don't feel the need for a gun.

This movie will be a bigger flop than the new ghostbusters. Who in the world is advising these movie execs.

Not offended but Objectifying women, stereotyping the male sex drive, using sex as a weapon. It is using the veil of being called a comedy, but a comedy is funny, something I doubt this is.

$208,000,000 is a flop?

What if I wear a man-bun and carry an AA-12, can I apply?

Not if you carry it in a man-purse.

So, in your eyes, an older man, with poor health, or a young woman, or an older woman, ho choose to own a gun to protect themselves, are all "wimps"? Anyone who can't defend against a stronger person, using brute force alone, is a "wimp"? A teenager, home alone, who scares off an invader with a gun, is a "wimp"?

Nice attitude.....not.

The movie is portraying men as incapable of resisting sex, and showing guns in a bad light. It's pure propaganda. Waste of time, as far as I am concerned, but useful for knowing which actors to avoid in the future. They can have their opinions, but I don't have to pay to support them. That's my choice.

Nope, just opinion. Sorry that doesn't fit your agenda, but it is what it is.

I know it's just an opinion and I'm just pointing out that it doesn't even fit with what the movie displays which makes it silly.

Also, I don't have an agenda. You are free to review my posting history. You'll never see me say anything against gun ownership.

Hollywood just gets classier all the time, maybe next they will throw a 'John Bobbitt' plot into it.

You think Hollywood is classy? Most of the time, they have movies that glorify shootin' people up. Now THAT'S classy.

Well, yeah. Really, Hollywood has done more to normalize the idea that violence solves everything than anyone else. At my age (43) I'm old enough to remember the last few decades and how every movie that came out of Hollywood that wasn't a comedy or a chick flick was about nothing but killing people from start to finish.

And the comedies and the chick flicks were all about just distracting people and blatantly (if you were paying any attention at all) selling the socialist agenda.

Basically, it is exactly as people have been claiming for many years. Hollywood was nothing but a gigantic propaganda machine for the political left for many decades. Which is one reason I never trusted Ronald Reagan no matter what he ever said. I think many people believe he was against communism (which no doubt has been the inspiration for all the left wing hatred of him) but I am just not convinced of it at all. I see the consequences of the things he did and all he did was got the world to tune out and stop taking socialism/communism seriously as a threat. It obviously never went away. People just stopped caring. And Reagan is why.

Reagan's administration also gave us the Brady nonsense. Make of that what you will.
