Masks and Mirrors

And I...I'm no more than a mask,
A reflection in the looking glass,
Shattered in a thousand pieces,
Held together by dreams and wishes.

You...you're no more than an apparition,
A ghostly painting, an artist's rendition,
On display for the world to see,
You wear your mask the same as me.

Never hidden, but always concealed,
Our true identities never revealed,
Nomads forever in this world it seems,
A world made up of wishes and dreams.
