does anyone think that Trump would have done this if he wasn't running for president? and if he has, please show the evidence.
Do you think he would have done it if he wasn't a billionaire?
Do you think he would have done it if he died in 1984?
Do you think he would have done it if he was a woperson?
Seriously, do you read your own posts?
Do you have any links of him being this altruistic before running for President?
One day Trump was stuck on the side of a highway with a flat tire in the limo. Someone noticed and stopped and changed the tire. Trump asked if there was anything he could do for him and the guy said no, and went on his merry way. A week later he got a notice from the bank that his mortgage had been paid off.

Nope, have no links. Just happen to know people connected to both organizations (St. Jude's and Make a Wish) and remember when he made big donations to both organizations. If you're really interested, Google is your friend.

Donald Trump's long-time (20+ years) personal butler says that the entire Trump family is generous beyond belief. They give money to many causes anonymously, to avoid the attention. The family is actually very humble.
Kind of reminds me of what one of Jesus's friends wrote.. That Jesus performed tons of miracles which the public never knew about.

Give me links......and really invoking Jesus
I'm certainly not a Trump supporter but I do know that he (personally, not his foundation) gave St. Jude's Children's hospital a few million a few years ago.

After an exhaustive 10 second Google search I came up with a link..one of MANY.
Here ya go: thehill.com...
And what do you have against Jesus? He was the original leader in generosity!

Perhaps it's your reading comprehension that is preventing you from effectively using Google. So I will repeat:
I'm certainly not a Trump supporter but I do know that he (personally, not his foundation) gave St. Jude's Children's hospital a few million a few years ago.
You've been presented with links in previous posts. I know he donated because people who worked with those organizations told me personally. He furnished a new wing at St. Jude's in Memphis. I don't know if there was publicity about it or not. I don't make a practice of doing other folks research.

We heard their reasons. They are nothing more than flowered up excuses. Oh and not a right winger by the way. Still thinking of voting Stein.
This particular issue however is pushing me towards considering Trump. Not so much because of what he did. But because of everyone #ting on it like providing moral support and helping people is a bad thing.
If this is who his opponents are, then maybe I should be on his side. Because there's literally no sense of decency in attacking what Trump did or excusing people for providing minimal help and caring only AFTER Trump stepped forward.

so...."flowered up excuses" means you don't care what the governor said about politicians staying away for a few days.....ok, got it.....screw that governor, right?

She is quite right. She would be a distraction. The focus would shift from the people who need it most right now to Hillary instead, and that is both counterproductive to the recovery effort and unfair to those folks. They need the spotlight right now...they are the important ones in this situation.
She is being pragmatic and gracious by allowing these people to do what they need to do in order to get through this, without detracting from the focus of their community by showing up.
Funny, isn't it...the people so indignantly accusing her of being cold and indifferent because she chose not to go make a spectacle of herself during the aftermath of a devastating disaster seem to have zero problem with minimizing the very real plight of those people by making a spectacle of her anyway. It should be astonishing to see such rampant hypocrisy...sad that instead, it's not surprising in the least.

I always scratch my head at people that ask of other people to do their work for them. Yes, there are numerous incidences of Trump doing altruistic things, including some that no one ever heard about until he ran for President. Google is there for a reason. Use it. Stop asking us to do the research for you. No one walks around with links in their freaking head.
But I'll give you a hint, since you're so void of ability to search. One day Trump was stuck on the side of a highway with a flat tire in the limo. Someone noticed and stopped and changed the tire. So you have no links that date before Trumps bid for President? A real Trump supporter would be here, with data to set the record straight

Hey StallionDuck: I'm a Louisiana resident, as well. No disrespect to your POV, but rather than see this as a Trump vs. Hillary issue, my take on it, currently, is what can you get together in your house, despite your own circumstances, to give?
Ok since the media will not tell anyone about this I will at least tell my friends and make this public so y'all can share and tell yours as well because I think it needs to be said.
Donald Trump visited Louisiana today. He brought with him a truck loaded with food, supplies, and toys that he personally passed out. He also donated money to a flood relief charity. He went and walked flooded houses in a community. He didn't ask for state police or military security, I I imagine he may have had his personal security with him but hey he pays them so not my business. He didn't ask for any road to be closed to bring him in or an escort to his destination, matter of fact he didn't inform the government of his visit at all. He didn't care if the government knew he was coming, he just came and brought needing people needed supplies. And the news covered it about 15 seconds and then used it as a hit piece to plug Obama's visit that will happen. It was just wrong on many levels. No matter of you agree with Trump political are not what he done today was honorable and good, and he did it without making a big deal of himself. I hope more people of his statue will do the same in the same way, without all the hype of announcing their visit with intent of a public photo op.

Yeah it doesn't work that way, buddy. If you're asking a question to try and corner your opposition, you should at least bring your own research to the table. I'm with nmore... I also have come across proof against your statement but since you're trying to one side this, I as well will not post proof for you. I mean... I wanted to, but thought it would just be sweeter not to. Maybe I'll just leave you to fester in words a bit, see what else you say before I "lay the smack down".
It's there. Promise you. If you honestly wanna know it, you'll look for it. But that's not the game we're playing, are we?

My daughter and I collected a couple gallons of water, power bars, Poweraid, cleaning supplies we weren't using, and some old cell phones so those folks in shelter being told to contact FEMA with no way to do so, could actually do it.
By the way, if anyone has unused, old computers, there is a comp place uptown that will rehab them for use for people in shelters, to do exactly what I just described, contact FEMA, and their families, and wherever else they might get some help.
Let's face it: we've been here before, via Katrina. Anyone who went through that, all respect to the thread writer, but we could have risen hell against Bush/Cheney at the time, it wouldn't have really helped anyone. I understand there is a bigger picture, but maybe now is the time to use this forum to tell folks what people need in the areas that are flooded: like lots of baby supplies: baby food, diapers, lightly used or new baby clothes, formula.....just repeating what I've been told by folks in that zone what they are lacking....
Stay strong, everyone. IMHO, whatever political figure is closer to having it right, is purely a distraction, plain and simple.
regards,
tetra50
