Saturday evening around 9:30 pm I began to have what I thought was indigestion. Which then proceeded to become a full fledged HORRIBLE throbbing pain right in my sternum area for at least 30 mins..It then subsided and I passed out from the stress of it all.. NOW here is where the it gets good...LONG story short..I haven't seen my father in 3 years..So on Tuesday morning I received a phone call from my aunt (my father's sister) informing me that they found my father dead in his house late Monday evening from ..a MASSIVE heart attack so it seems from what the Coroner has stated..They think he had been dead for at least two days..So that means he would have passed on Saturday...I really TRULY believe I felt my father having his heart attack that killed him..I have never really had an experience like this in my life and felt the need to share with you all and see if anyone else has had anything similar happen to them?

I am so sorry for your loss. I have heard of these things happening to other people, so it could be totally possible. When my grandmother passsed in the night, I had a dream of her visiting me as an angel and telling me everything would be alright. I think there can be some very powerful connections to our family.

Wow, how awful....I'm sorry for your loss. I personally never experienced anything like this in a physical way like your experience, but have had "uneasy" feelings about my Loved ones well being, and it has turned out they were in fact not doing well for a variety of reasons, Thankfully their distress didn't end in death. Sending Love and Light to you and yours....

First of all, I'm sorry for the recent death of your father.

Maybe the feeling of love between two people are actually particles associated with our biology becoming entangled, which could also happen regardless of love between a parent and their child during conception. How else could you explain that unspoken "feeling" of being connected to the ones we loved ones?

Quantum Physics Explains Coincidences?

PDF: Download

“The analogy for the human psyche of a bound state is a nuclear family, where all the elements of a family are kept ‘bound’ together by constant interaction, be it emotional, financial, [or] social interactions that arise due to living in the same household,” wrote Martin in his 2005 paper. “The analogy of the entanglement between two individuals is, for example, the continuing bonds between children who are adults with their aging parents; for such a case there is no longer any common household, and no financial or other co-dependence; but entanglement can continue to exist over great distances and over many decades. The correlation between such apparently disconnected individuals is very well represented by the concept of the quantum entanglement of two or more psyche.”

“Synchronicity phenomena are characterized by a significant coincidence which appears between a (subjective) mental state and an event occurring in the (objective) external world,” explained Francois Martin, Ph.D., of the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics at the University of Paris, and Federico Carminati, Ph.D., Physicist at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), in a paper titled “Synchronicity, Quantum Information and the Psyche,” published in the Journal of Cosmology in 2009.

I've heard of and been a part of similar things. We have alot to learn and even more to understand. Very sorry for your loss and all affected. I hope you can still feel close to him somehow.

Thanks for sharing, connectivity on a spiritual plane, always cool to hear of that.

So far the only thing I have experienced in that regard is thinking of family just before they call on the telephone.

If you two are that connected expect to get dream visits, like a 'goodbye for now' encounter as well.

Add my name to the list of condolences...

I am sorry for your loss but also glad for your experience. It shows you, beyond a shadow of a doubt, how strong the "Real" connection was between you, despite our human misunderstandings.

I had an exact duplicate of your experience, complete with gripping chest pains, but regarding a non-blood uncle (related by marriage) whom I always thought I hated, but it turned out that I didn't, and I feel closer to him now than when we was alive.

I also had an odd experience when my 100+ grandmother died. Her death was relatively eminent as she was with us at home, but under Hospice care after a botched operation, and her death was expected "any day now." But I had checked in on her and she was fine. And then I went to bed, quite exhausted. I had barely settled, when it felt as if something had jerked out of my very Soul, and the sensation was that I had suddenly dropped by three or four feet, like that experience you get when you miscalculated that last step, only much more intense. Shortly afterwards, husband had just entered the room, and I asked him to check on her. He said that he just did, on his way to our bedroom, but I asked him to check again...he was gone for a long time and each of those moments just stood in silent suspension.

He came in finally to tell me that she was probably about to die, and I ran into the room, but I was only in time to see her take her last breath. I still hate him for not calling me sooner, but I also understand, from what he told me. You see, she had been in a coma for a couple of days. When he entered the room the second time, only a moment later from when he had just been there, he found her with her eyes open. She turned her head towards him and looked directly at him, even though she was almost completely blind, and he said that he saw three things in her eyes: Longing, acceptance, and gratitude...and then she looked towards the spot where the wall meets the ceiling, straight in front of her, and she took on a sort of beautiful, subliminally smiling glow. He said he was so stunned at the sight that he just couldn't move.

Anyway, regardless of how things turned out with your Dad, know that you were loved by him, from start to finish, and that your experience was indeed rare, but also wonderful, despite the pain you felt.

What a spectacular story, thank you for sharing. My sisters are doctors and share some pretty amazing stories of when a patient passes away. The things they say before they pass or things happening right before or during a hospital death. There are things going on beyond our senses that are truly magnificent.

Yes, and how miraculous, when our senses are allowed to cross that boundary for a brief moment.

Edit: ....Speaking of which, I am ashamed to admit that I am addicted to those free casino spin things and my favorite is Superman. I didn't notice your Avatar because I was busy wincing at your name. But Superman is a favorite of mine and just yesterday I was pleading with my silly iPad, "Please, Superman, please fly my way!"...wince...I'll silently swim away now...but thanks for the incognito, or otherwise, appearance.

...(Apologies to Mods and OP, please don't hold this tiny drift against me)...

Very similar with me.

Went to bed one night. Woke up around 5am and had a vision of my grandfather smiling at me. Later that day I heard from family he passed.

Sorry for your loss.
I was sitting at my computer April 13, 2011 when I smelled my Mom's perfume, but she wasn't physically there. She had been battling cancer and they thought she had a lot more time left so we weren't expecting her to go so fast. I knew the moment she passed without any doubt, and then called the family home only to confirm she really had just left us.

Since then I have had a few vivid dreams where she was there and she told me she was okay and other things I can't remember. Anyway, there is an after life 100% true.

Sorry for your loss.

It very well could have been some spiritual turned physical awareness of your father's passing.

Sorry for your loss.

To your point, I felt something similar when my Father passed away. At the exact time. I was 1000 miles away.

I have no explanation for it. I still feel rattled by it.

Me too...sorry for your loss..

I got a call middle of night to get to the hospital 50 miles away, Dad wasnt going to make it. The freeway all the way was in the dark countryside and with middle-of-the-night fog rolling around the car-could hardly see to drive, like driving into a cloud. Halfway there, the time was 4:37 a.m.

I looked in my rearview mirror and in the dark of the backseat...I saw Dad sitting back there looking at me smiling. I hauled ass to the Med Center, double parked the car and ran up 5 flights of stairs to Cardiac I.C.U. When I got there...the nurse said "Im sorry sir. Your father has passed".

Time of death? 4:37 a.m.

I will be "Rattled" by this forever i'm sure..I wonder if our DNA/Cell structures passed down from our parents are permanently entangled with our own at a quantum level? Thus allowing us to stay connected in times of stress with the ones who created us in the first place..
Thanks you very much for sharing ..
