With the flooding continuing, and 13 people dead, more missing...
these folks could use some support from America!

Record flooding across Louisiana has killed at least 13 people. Over 85,000 people have registered for federal disaster assistance, more than 30,000 have been rescued, and an estimated 40,000 homes have been damaged.

Trump addressed the flooding at a rally in Charlotte, N.C. Thursday night, calling Louisiana "a state that is very, very special to me."

"Though words cannot express the sadness one feels at times like this," Trump said, "I hope everyone in Louisiana knows that our country is praying for them, and standing with them to help them in these difficult hours."

www.foxnews.com...

According to reports, flooding may continue, a really tragic situation. www.latimes.com...

Thankful to see at least one Presidential Candidate and VP going to visit
and see what can be done to help.

What is going on with Obama and Hillary? Golf?
Pillows? Made in the shade?

Also, wondering where is Obama? He loudly criticized President Bush
for not doing more during the Katrina flooding, even throwing down
some conspiracy stuff into the mix.

Hillary? Missing in action also, reports from her Podcasts are that
she was unable to get up vertical, and needed time to rest.
Propped up at home on pillows?

What?

What exactly do you think Trump is going to do to help? Is he going to open his "yuge" mouth and suck in the flood waters?

Yeah, they nailed Bush for not going after Katrina even tho he said it would cause a lot of distractions.

But that's the same excuse Obama is using and it's ok.

wtf?!

The presence of someone such as Trump is helpful to morale in times like this. Its going to comfort people to see that someone actually might care a little, and it will also win him votes.

Another 100k votes for Trump.

At this point HILLARY mind as well just drop out... her rapidly collapsing campaign, deteriorating health, mounting lies, and blatant non-caring about anyone below super elite class, has pretty much sealed the deal for a Trump presidency anyway.

Obama and Hillary can't decide what to lie about.

That's why they are no-shows so far.

They're both worried they'll get heckled and hooted.

No less than what Obama is doing. If nothing else, it's good PR for a P/VP ticket, despite what your obvious Trump hate shining through.

Well, when he gets there he will decidedly find out what
can be done to help. At least he is going!

What is the President doing to help?
Golfing?

I remember his comments over Katrina,
who could forget? He blamed Bush for a
fly over and claimed nothing was being done
to help these people left devastated by flooding...

Video surfaces of Obama criticizing Katrina response

Obama Rips Bush for Flyover of Katrina

At least Trump cares enough to go visit, and Pence
too, they will undoubtedly help in some substantial manner.

Unlike Hillary missing in action for three days,
what is she doing? Nothing???

At least Trump will bring some meia attention to this massive disaster that the President and media have been under-reporting or outright ignoring.

Apparently there are no Mosques being affected in the flood disaster area.

Puh-leeze...

If Hillary did show up you'd all complain anyways.

Get a life.

Well Obama is on vacation as usual so its probably a good thing that someone that is a leader visit the area, that's what presidents do, except Obama.

I love all this mis-directed liberal rage coming from the left due to a floundering HILLARY candidacy. Instead of recognizing bad policies, utterly mind-boggling corruption, blatant racism disguised as a helping hand, and failed political ideologies for multiple decades, its instead lash out at those who never bought into the crap to begin with.

Some major projecting going on

Obama could at least go visit, Hillary too.
If they are afraid to actually set foot on the
ground, Airforce One, and a Clinton Foundation
jet might at least demonstrate they care.

Baton Rouge's local newspaper, The Advocate, wrote an op-ed with one message to President Obama, a "hurting Louisiana needs you now."

Previous presidents have bypassed Louisiana after natural disasters. President George W. Bush was widely criticized after he flew over a flooded New Orleans in 2005. Democrats were especially critical. www.nbcnews.com...

Democrats, yes especially Obama was.

Oh yeah, no doubt about it, she should have gone.

At least Obama could have said something on the tarmac if the logistics couldn't get him into the affected areas.

I'm sure the sitting prez would require more than the candidates in terms of security but

somebody had to go. I'm glad it was T&P.

I'm thankful to see they care enough to go,
even though I am sure the media will find
a way to demonize them for doing so.

Backwards times, truly backwards....

Trump going to Louisiana isn't going to accomplish anything but getting you fools blathering about how "at least he's doing something" which is reason enough for him to go. It's a publicity stunt like virtually everything he does. Do you think he's going because he has a great big heart? You're talking about a man who didn't want anything to do with raising his own children.

Whether or not the President should cut his vacation short to see the damage first hand is another issue. Personally, I think he should if for no other reason than it's what people expect and it's a morale booster — not because it will have a noticeable difference in the federal relief efforts at all.

Trump will at least make everyone else scramble there to do something so he doesnt seem like the only human among reptiles.

Also, its good for leaders to see HOW their people suffer. To know what it looks like, smells like, sounds like. To see their people on the brink and look them in the eyes. To take that to bed with you.....to your grave.

Thats the sort of experience that makes responsible leaders, and people.

If the president can instill positive morale than so can Trump, that would be accomplishing something.

Is it anything like "If I had a son, he'd look like Tryvon...."....?
