Turkey said on Wednesday that it would empty its prisons of tens of thousands of criminals to make room for the wave of journalists, teachers, lawyers and judges rounded up in connection with last month’s failed coup.

Turkey to Release Tens of Thousands of Prisoners to Make Room for Coup Suspects

Wow! So they are going to basically switch out about 50k people from society with the ones in jail and free those. What a way to generate enough votes for the next "democratic" election... now that everyone of your opponents has been locked up. [SNIP]

The guys behind the failed coup in Turkey are brainwashed followers of Fetullah Gulen who dedicated his life to bring Islamic rule to the whole world by any means possible. Don't be mistaken by their titles. They are not regular journalists, teachers, lawyers, judges, or army officers. They act like mutants who do what their master says. They are not secular or moderate either. They just look like it until they seize the whole power.

Fetullah's cult is just like the Faith in the Game of Thrones. They find poor kids, give them shelter and education and raise them as a brainwashed agent for their cause. Right now, Turkey is in a war of existence with the real life Faith organization led by a mullah called Fetullah Gulen who happens to reside in Pennsylvania, US.

Why US is hosting such a devious snake is beyond me but please don't buy the propaganda that Fetullah is a moderate and secular muslim. Would a secular person follow a mullah, call him the Great Master and do what he says regardless of the consequences? We, secular Turks don't support these guys. Erdogan is annoying but these guys are life-threateningly dangerous. Our position is to let Erdogan bring the hell to them.

Really a good thing it's out there, but not happy news.
Bumped anyway-- because it shows where the regime's
real priorities are. A sign of the times; almost everywhere
you've got a good hot tyranny going on.. and can somebody
tell me an executive dictatorship is better than a wild-eyed
theocracy is better than well balkanized pot-stirring?

(You know somewhere in there, the US is two out of three...
not too shabby for the muskets still rusting in the corner)

In deference to the public safety, Turkey's decent people
are getting a sudden transfusion of convicted bad guys--
so other probably decent but vocal people against
the regime can get put away. We can forget the sole root
cause and just bring in the tanks again: to run over some
more frendlies because the troublemakers split an hour ago.

The reason for the rant-ette was the 'State of Emergency'--
where the entity is called 'Turkey' in the article more than once.
Make no mistake... it's all Erdogan and a full-throttle purge.
Nothing like conveniently bypassing a congress; and doing
whatever you want 'because we have to." Gotta love it.
