This is a very good article for those who know that it is the pulse of the nation that needs to be looked at and not just individual polls. The polling numbers are not adding up at all since August 1st. Go back to before the first and it is about even or in the margin of error with Trump actually leading a few polls. However, put general polling aside and read this 7 items that show, even if the MSM will not say it, Donald Trump could win in a landslide not seen since the 20's that will reshape the political system.

Link

The 'old' Republican Guard is showing how Progressive they are. Anyone who is a registered Republican who does NOT support the GOP candidate was not a Republican at all. They are paid mouthpieces. They do not want anything to change after November that will affect their paychecks because they do not care about you...the hard worker or poor minority. You are a dependency vote that, as you read the article, is not a slam dunk.

Most Trump supporters are looking forward, not back. Listening to his policy speeches and trying to put it in perspective while the Left simply thinks it can call Trump dumb, his supporters dumb and anyone who does not agree as dumb. No policy..just insults.

If you are a supporter, please read. In not, please dissect. Explain how these 7 key points will not affect the landscape of this election.

#1: National Polls Point to a Hillary Win -
#2: Clinton Will Run Up The “Tear Down That Wall Mr. Trump”
#3: Clinton Will Command the Black Vote -
#4: Big Labor Will Carry Hillary
#5: Clinton Will Bury Trump with the Women’s Vote
#6: The Disloyal Republican Opposition Will Sink Trump’s Campaign
#7: Loose Lips Sink Campaign Ships

“There is a frustration that he is playing by different rules, but there is a belief that it has got to catch up to him.” — a Clinton Aide to the Financial Times, May 11, 2016
this is what they are banking on. The same talking points to bring him down but that did not work for the GOP and the DNC has the MSM in full swing...nothing is happening. Crowds are bigger and still consistent.

The final statement rings very true...

if Trump simply stays focused on his four aces of the economy, trade, immigration and national security, it is equally true that he will surely play a winning hand. On the other hand, if reporters or the Clinton campaign are able to take Trump off message, his four aces may be beaten by a full house of spin.

I think the only one of those 7 points that holds weight is the female vote. And I could be wrong about that.

The black vote is a major misconception. The media is trying so desperately to fuel the Trump-racism card, but blacks don't fall under the umbrella of immigration so much.

All of my black friends and a large enough portion of black people know about Hillary's history, especially when it comes to the prison industrial complex.

ITT: "7 deflections helping me to ignore political polling in favor of my own narrative".

I started reading your article and literally every point started out by throwing out polling data in favor of "large crowds" or what Trump might do. Let's not get introspective here and actually figure out where Trump has been going wrong, let's just further bury our heads in the sand so we can continue to sing happy songs.

Navarro's been a Republican mouthpiece all the way back in his San Diego days. I'm sure there's a quota at the National Interest, are we surprised a "very good article" asserting 'myths' are being published? No. As Rush recently said, "ignore polling data at your peril". There aren't any credible polls (I would assert the Qunnipiac poll is best) showing anything beyond a very comfortable lead for Clinton. I'm not comforted by a future with HRC as commander-in-chief, but the credible polling data points exactly to that.

Whatever point you're trying to make (I'm really not sure) it doesn't matter.

Even when he stumbles on the truth, he doesn't have the background information to make sense of it. His brain is full of sound bites, flashing lights and Oh Shiny! things. His inner thought process is a pinball machine. He even showed us -

He hasn't got the maturity, the conscience, the intellect or the discipline to be Commander in Chief of the most dangerous and powerful military machine the world has ever known, nor does he have any clue or impulse to actually represent We The People in world affairs.

Stop trying to make a sow's ear into a President. And that goes for the other sow, too.

LOL #5

Most women I have talked to, believe she is the WORST example of what our first woman president should be.

I sure wouldn't want my niece striving to be like her.

This website is run by war mongers:

nationalinterest.org...

Self profressed Henry Kissinger fans.

And besides, conservatives LOVE polls when they are in their own favor, they only complain about them when it shows the other side winning.

As all politicians do. But if polls weren't important or accurate, why do they always end up being mostly right?

Because polls work better than how these people ' feel ' about the election or 'perceive' the election. Trump has shot himself many times, all the media has done is cover his gaffes.

They can hardly be blamed for that.

those crowds are regularly 3 - 10 time larger than the ENTIRE sampling count of ANY of those polls, which rarely if ever question 1000 people at a time.

Trump if the only one that can prevent a battle of the empires.

This information is from the former editor of Politico Garrett M. Graff in an article he wrote for Wired magazine in July on phone polling (land and cell)

2016 99.1% No Response
2012 94.5%. No Response
2000 39% No Response
1980 28% No Response

Phone polling is down -4.6%. Basically almost nobody is answering the phones. I'm fine with polls but if they are using phone polls or their data includes a decent chunk of phone data it's worthless. An insane amount of people would have to be called just to get one person to answer.

The trend is internet polls and those were more accurate than phones in 2012. Also some of the polls are in fact heavily biased but by how much is no way to know. Trump is likely still down but tea leaves are saying it's not by as much as these polls are claiming for the popular vote anyway.

So what? All that shows is that Trump supporters are willing to travel to see him. It doesn't mean he is pulling in new potential voters though.

The fact that you would believe this - without any kind of proof, is the proof that Trump is NOT the man to do this.

He has NO plan, no substance, no policy.

All he has is talking points and fear mongering.

If anything Trump willing probably cause a war of Empires, at least he will most certainly start a trade war with Russia and China.

And it won't be the billionaires and millionaires who pay the price for it, it will be his supporters.

Also if you think that polls are somehow less accurate than a room full of people at an event, then you don't understand how polling science works.

1 Myth about Elections : That they actually matter.

“If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it.”

― Mark Twain

Most people with half a brain know this already. It won't matter who wins. Hillary use to be a Republican and Donald a Democrat. They made their fortunes using both systems to their advantage and exploiting them. Tax codes, charity laws. If people would focus on that they would be much better off instead of focusing on a candidate. The tax laws are so complex because they are designed to cheat otherwise it would be simple tax laws. Same with charities. They are designed to pocket money tax free, like 90% of it.

People travel and spend lots of money to see wrestling matches, car races (crashes), football games and lots of other things too.

Feed undesirables to the lions, they'll come for that too.

One reporter said after attending a Trump rally 'they're all roaring drunk' - and it's easy to see that's the truth with the younger ones. These aren't voters. They're fans who will find actual voting rather anti-climactic. Especially if it looks like their dingbat hero is a loser.

These things only become myths if you ignore all the polling data. And if you are going to ignore the only scientific way to analyze the demographics of an election then you can claim anything is a myth. Trumps biggest problem right now is not even trying get the minority vote that he has never had but, he is loosing white voters to Clinton as well.

The fact is unless somebody in the Trump camp gets serious about winning this campaign then it is over. Trump needs to revamp which he says he will not do. Clinton is pulling money from 3 battle ground states because she is so far ahead and we are likely to see that money in Georgia, Arizona and Missouri. Trump has no ground game in those states and barely has them in battle ground states.

Now Clinton is moving into Red States. Trump is going have to put time and resources he does not have into those Red States because losing just one makes the battle ground states pointless.

Trump needs to understand that now it is no longer about the national numbers, it is the electoral map he has try and use to his advantage. He is competitive in Ohio. So show his campaign has some momentum he should go all in on Ohio and the falling red states. If he can turn Ohio even a little red and recover the red states he show some positive momentum. Then he can move on the other battle ground states. He needs to scrap most of the nonsense that he said in primary and restart fresh. No Trump being Trump. And he needs ads and a ground game. His use the media plan was fine when he in the primaries , that is no longer true. Time is short. The GOP is getting ready to pull funding like they did to Dole.

The problem is people have pretty much made up their minds at this time about Trump, they either love him or hate him and that is not going to change and that makes Trump's job nearly impossible.

This probably isn't the best representation, but take a look at what a real President with wit and intellect sounds like in a press conference:

Polls never going above 1000 persons aren't what we'd call Very Scientific.

An Attack Dog Media on the march is what we call Social Engineering.

Bush & Obama instigating a New Cold War with Russia for over 10 years with their futile missile defense shield in Europe worked so well. Ironic when the US has had nukes on the Eurasian mainland surrounding the Soviet Union / Russia forever. Yet when the Soviet's dared put some launchers off our coast it was like Godzilla was an "Active Crusher" stomping through NYC.
