If someone had come up to me and said that you could mix the song "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees with AC/DC's "Back In Black", I would have told them they were insane.

No way you're going to take a disco song of the 1970s and mix it with a hard rock song of the early 1980s and make it work.

I stand correct! Wow!

Back in black is such a great song you could put any lyrics to it and it would still sound good. But Staying alive cmon man.

In case anyone is interested, it's from a Facebook page by a group called Wax Audio.

The above link is from Facebook, so some might not be able to access it.

However, they also have an actual web page: Wax Audio web page

These guys rock! They do nothing but mash up some 80s pop song with a rock/metal song! They learn how to play their mash up and perform in Las Vegas. Here is/was my introduction to...

Rock Sugar - Don't Stop the Sandman

They have a couple albums out. (For those that can't view at work, the song is a mash up of Don't Stop Believing and Enter Sandman)

Hmmm, OK, so I think we have proved that guitar can make anything rock and that disco music sucks although maybe the BeeGees might have rocked out with an AC/DC style band in the background?

Crazy baby !

I actually really like the sound coming off of these great mixups !

I'm curious if the ability to combine these different genres has anything to do with the matching tempos (or at least that's what it sounded like to my ears) ?

Pretty darn cool if you ask me... that means you can take any song with, say a 4/4 tempo, and mix it with any other song that has the same 4/4 tempo.

Proof that music truly has no boundaries.
