Morning Cutie! How are you today?

Sleepy. Was up till 5:30 this morning. Now in a bus to a work site in one of the hollywood canyons. Easy job today. Working in the shade revamping a shade flower bed on the side yard off the kitchen door of this house. Camellias and coleus underneath. Mayby some begonia here and there for color highlights.

Then the front door has a pretty respectable fountain next to it with a large basin. To hide the water pumps (prior guy didnt know what he was doing) im going to put water Lilly in. Or so the client thinks. He wanted hyacinth. Pffft!!!! I found him a deal on shocking purple colored lotus. That aught to comnand the proper attention to the fountain

That sounds beautiful!!! Do you ever argue with your clients on what would look best? I bet that is hard sometimes. You know what would look good but they "think" they know...LOL

Sonetimes with new ones. Ones that have worked with me before usually take my word and trust me.

Its the clients vision and its my responsibility to cater to it. So i usually take them to a nursery walk around a bit and they show me what they like or envision. I show them what will work or approxinate that.

Arguments are usually over a client wanting one thing and me going "that will die there you cant plant that, but here how about this?" then they go "well our neighbor across the street has it. " and then i have to explain whats different between their yard or location and their neighbors and why it wont work.

Really its them trying to squeeze extras out of you with out compensating you for the extra work. And having to put your foot down.
