For some reason, I keep thinking it's a Monday night. Really not looking forward to work tomorrow.

For the moment, just relaxing before bed with some Philip Glass.

Hope everyone's doing alright!

This is my favorite Philip Glass piece. Melancholy..

I listened to part of it and will listen to more later. This is the kind of thing I like to listen to when I'm writing.

I could dream this yard up and live there forever.

This picture reminds me of the movie, 'what dreams may come'.

You like Hovhannes any? His style is very similar.

My favorite (as I got a hold of a copy of the sheet music) is called "Prayer of St. Gregory". The solo gives me shivers every time I play it in person. There's two versions of the trumpet solo: One with organ, and the other with a string quintet. I managed to track down the quintet version, but here's the organ version.

yes it inspires the higher mind, like the greats of our past, Vivaldi, Michael Angelo, Wolfgang Sebastian Bach. To name a few. They say listening to this opens a part of the mind that would otherwise be shut off, to awakened heights.

beautiful music.

Oh very beautiful indeed!

It makes me feel like i'm sitting in a theatre in 1962 watching Ben Hur.
It's a nice Visual i'm liking it. I have this habit of visualizing that which i'm drawn to.

These are the kind of musicians I really like on the Classical end of the scale - Honvhannes ranks with Dvorak, Glass, and several others. I love it when they attempt to paint a picture with the music. There's another in a similar vein that I'm trying to track down, as we've played his music before, but I can't remember what the composer's name is!
