Just checked. Its april through may in irwindale (orange county) looks like we missed this years. Im so down for next year though. Only a few months away. ☺

I think the ren faire and us shed folk would be a perfect pair.

The original one is here in LA. (Irwindale) I know its pretty huge. Used to know a gal who worked it. She still does. I can get insider info from her as the time cones closer.

Lol, yeah - They have a "jail cell" where in order to make bail, you will have to do a crazy, wacky, or sometimes downright embarrassing thing in front of the audience (you can also bribe the jail keeper to put out an arrest warrant on the person that did it to you, and you get to go free). They also have people that will search the fairgrounds for you if there's a warrant.

The one year - in order to get out all of the prisoners had to put on high heels and race each other.

Zazz, it's not that far to drive - you only have to go cross country.

I've actually never been to the State Fair. I usually tend to stay away from large gatherings like that. I have a little thing about large crowds where I don't go near them. Although, I would love to have some funnel cake. Oh well, guess it's time to start getting ready for another trip down the Virginian Railway tomorrow.
