Goodbye to You

I say goodbye, goodbye to you,
The time's come to say farewell,
To part as people often do,
In my heart is where you'll dwell.

Wish I could stay, for just a bit more,
But we've run out of precious time.
We'll exit through our separate doors,
You through yours, me through mine.

Someday, maybe in the future we'll,
Gaze upon each other again.
Be able to say the things we feel,
Hopefully then... maybe then.

For now, I'll hide my heart away,
My love was meant only for you.
Until that very special day,
When we can give our love anew.

That was sad but beautiful. That is exactly how I feel about my ex but we will never be together again... Awesome poem.

Very expressive-it sounded like something we say deep inside to ourselves-hard to say goodbye but always leave that little crack for a future reconciliation-sometimes its just not the right time-thank you for your meaningful words.
