Well, as we near an election with Hillary Clinton as a serious contender, perhaps it is time to revisit these letters. These letters reveal Hillary's past which shaped her into what she is today. She was so enamored by Saul, that she wrote her senior thesis about him. A thesis that was barred from public access while she was in the White House. Up until these letters were exposed, Hillary had not been honest about her far left past. Hillary as president, would complete Obama's far left transformation of America. My only wish is that Americans would realize how far reaching this transformation would be upon completion.

Alinsky was a democratic socialist. He worked closely for years with Chicago’s Communist party and did everything in his power to advance its program. Most of his innovations were patterned on Communist-party organizing tactics. Alinsky was smart enough never to join the party, however. From the start, he understood the dangers of ideological openness. He was a pragmatist, but a pragmatist of the far left.

A self-proclaimed radical, Alinsky advocated guerilla tactics and civil disobedience to correct what he saw as an institutionalized power gap in poor communities. His philosophy divided the world into “haves”—middle class and wealthy people —and “have nots”—the poor. He took an ends-justify-the-means approach to power and wealth redistribution, and developed the theoretical basis of “community organizing.”

So Alinsky supported the central Marxist tenet of public ownership of the means of production. Unlike the New Left, however, Alinsky had no expectation of reaching that end through swift or violent revolution. He meant to approach the ultimate goal slowly, piecemeal, perhaps over generations, through patient organizing efforts at the local level.

Why Hillary's Alinsky Letters Matter

For those unfamiliar with Saul Alinksy, he is a community organizer and writer of a book called, The Rules For Radicals". Here is an excerpt that I find shockingly amusing. He feared the middle class could be driven to a right-wing viewpoint. (Hint, Trump)

"making them ripe for the plucking by some guy on horseback promising a return to the vanished verities of yesterday.

Although Alinsky's Rule For Radicals is more famous it was his Reveille for Radicals book that she enjoyed the most.

Radicals want to advance from the jungle of laissez-faire capitalism to a world worthy of the name of human civilization. They hope for a future where the means of economic production will be owned by all of the people instead of the comparative handful.

The Saul and Hillary letters:

More about the thesis

The thesis was unlocked after the Clintons left the White House in 2001 and is available for reading at the Wellesley College archives. It first received public exposure in 2005 when msnbc.com investigative reporter Bill Dedman sent his journalism class from Boston University to read the thesis and write articles about it, and one of the students, Rick Heller, posted his article online that December.[14] The thesis is also available through interlibrary loan on microfilm, a method reporter Dorian Davis used when he obtained it in January 2007, and sent it to Noonan and to Amanda Carpenter at Human Events, who wrote a piece[15] on it in March. The suppression of the thesis from 1993 to 2001 at the request of the Clinton White House was documented in March 2007 by reporter Dedman, who read the thesis at the Wellesley library and interviewed Rodham's thesis adviser. Dedman found that the thesis did not disclose much of Rodham's own views.[3] A Boston Globe assessment found the thesis nuanced, and said that "While [Rodham] defends Alinsky, she is also dispassionate, disappointed, and amused by his divisive methods and dogmatic ideology."[8] Schechter told msnbc.com that "There Is Only The Fight . . ." was a good thesis, and that its suppression by the Clinton White House "was a stupid political decision, obviously, at the time."

And unfortunately (or not coincidentally) our alternative is Donald Trump, who is either crazy or he's in on it. To make sure that most sane people feel like they have no choice but to vote for Hillary.

But even if Trump does win, everything I have seen since 9/11 convinces me that the future is already set. The supposed leaders are just a front for the same people behind the scenes. I don't think it matters a bit who wins the election. I think they already have a plausible script written for how things will go to reach the same destination either way.

Think about it. Everyone was so desperate to get rid of Bush in 2008. Bush is the real reason why Obama was able to do so well. I mean, yes. Obama is very slick and a very good speaker and that can't be underestimated in a politician. However, besides his policies being very repulsive on a fundamental level, Bush was a Republican. That was what was really bothering most of Bush's critics in the general population. They didn't really care about the ethics of what he was doing. It was WHO was doing it. Not WHAT was being done.

How much did things REALLY change when Obama took over? And how much of what does seem to be different is really just smoke and mirrors? How much of a difference does it make in just altering the narrative? I believe we're really at basically the same place we would have been if Bush had been in office another 8 years. Obama didn't really change anything. And it doesn't look like he really wanted to.

Haven't you been reading the news over the past 7 1/2 years?

Nationalizing health care (Obamacare was meant to be at the state level).
Nationalized schools via common core and created additional bureaucracy.
Attempting to enact gun control.
Controlling nearly all MSM and instead feeding us propaganda. Obama - Nearly 100% Staged Photo Propaganda - AP Calls Out Media To End This
Appointing communists and socialists to various positions in his administration.
Obama's war on whistle-blowers
Installation of Trapwire big brother surveillance
Enhanced pat downs by TSA
Compiling data on individuals to determine equality in neighborhoods.
Congressman José Serrano (D-NY) introduced House Joint Resolution 15 which would remove the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.
Tobacco penalties under President Obama’s Affordable Care Act which cause employers to ban smoking for employees.
Referring to the opposing party as terrorists.
Abuse of power afforded under the constitution.

Etc...

Nice read, much appreciated.

I've read Rules for Radicals as well as HIllary's dissertation she wrote her senior year. I believe that if you are for her or even against her these should be something everyone should at least look into to generate their own conclusions. I absolutely love how the right wing destroyed Obama non stop over Rules for Radicals and his "Alinsky Ways," yet I see none of them addressing her, in my opinion, far more skilled and deeper knowlage of his style of organizing the people, Alinksy himself, or the views she expressed in that thesis.

Thank you, and this is exactly why I wanted to revisit this. Not too many are aware of Hillary's past. Heck many don't even know that her husband was impeached. Can you believe this?

Well, when one is nearly 3/4 of a century old, I suppose things can become long buried and forgotten. I am still very much the same rebellious person I was in my college days. People don't change all that much.

Controlling nearly all MSM

Garbage.

Appointing communists and socialists to various positions in his administration.

2/ Please show where that is illegal.

Please detail this "war"

Enhanced pat downs by TSA

Please detail how that is "far left"?

Congressman José Serrano (D-NY) introduced House Joint Resolution 15 which would remove the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.

Do you do any research before posting crap?

Rep. Serrano has introduced the very same proposal to Congress every two years since 1997 (a total of nine times), regardless of which party was currently occupying the White House and starting well before Barack Obama became involved in national politics. On the first two occasions (in 1997 and 1999) the incumbent president was a Democrat (Bill Clinton); the next four occasions (2001, 2003, 2005, and again in 2007), were after the election of a Republican (George W. Bush). Rep. Serrano's 2013 bill is the third time he has proposed that same legislation to Congress since the election of Barack Obama, following similar efforts in 2009 and 2011.

Likewise, another Democrat, Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland, introduced a similar proposal six times in recent years, also regardless of which party was currently occupying the White House.
Hoyer introduced such proposals in 1995, 1997, and 1999 (all during the presidency of Bill Clinton), and again in 2001, 2003, and 2005 (all during the presidency of George W. Bush).

Other members of Congress who have offered similar proposals in the last twenty years include the following:
Rep. Barney Frank of Massachusetts (Democrat): 1995, 1997, and 1999 (all during the presidency of Bill Clinton). Rep. David Dreier of California (Republican): 1997 (during the presidency of Bill Clinton).
Rep. Jerrold Nadler of New York (Democrat): 1995 (during the presidency of Bill Clinton).
Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky (Republican): 1995 (during the presidency of Bill Clinton).
Rep. Guy Vander Jagt of Michigan (Republican): 1991 (during the presidency of George H.W. Bush).
Rep. Martin Sabo of Minnesota (Democratic-Farmer-Labor): 1991 (during the presidency of George H.W. Bush).

According to our survey, not a single one of these proposals was ever so much as brought to a vote before Congress (they were all referred to committee and languished there), much less passed and sent to the states for ratification.

Yet this is somehow Obama's fault....

I could counter with all sorts of further information. But you know what? Obama will be out in months and good riddance. This thread is about Hillary and her icon, Saul Alinksy, and I don't want the subject deflected from what I intended.

Weren't obama and hillary in the senate together?

Both love Alinsky, ran for potus together, both from IL.

Very cosy arrangement when he won, appointed her SoS with no IG.

Endorses her now and attacks her opponent.

Both have some weird disconnect about radical islamists. Both fubar'd the ME and N.Africa.

Wow. Oh and the emails they sent to each other on her private server.

Unless we are expected to believe they never sent an email to each other.

Hillary will take it to the next step if she survives to win.

That's why the full court press on Trump.

It will suffer greatly if Trump wins.

Once hillary appoints the judges, it's all downhill from there for the once great USA.

Look at what they got now, DOJ, IRS, EPA, DOE, hell, even the DOD. INS, HLS, ICE, the media and lord knows what else.

Care to stop the shill tactics and stay within the main topic, which is Hillary's letters and her admiration of Saul and his ideology?

Straw man arguments are going to get you so far, at least go get some backup before trying to derail the thread.

OMG, she is just another "Community Organizer".

Seems there was no real choice for Dems back in 2008, they both came from the same radical Alinsky backgounds and theology.

Bill hiding these facts back when he was POTUS, how can the American people not be pissed that this information was suppressed. She followed the same career as Obama, getting placed as a State Senator who did nothing. The similarities for the power grab are creepy.

Folks, you really need to pay attention to the mindset that got the US to where it is today with premeditated attacks against all opposition in general. We are facing radicalism that should scare every last one of you! This could very well be the last fight, vote wisely!
