I'll leave this here to refute this common claim. I don't, and I think you'll agree with me, want you to be in error in your thinking.

While culturally 'Christianity' was a backdrop of National Socialism, I'm afraid it was a calculated decision to make it so. How else could Hitler and the Nazi leadership attempt to unify an otherwise Christian nation under the banner of National Socialism?

While not a Christian, Hitler was certainly not an atheist. Anyone claiming so is as uniformed as you were with your original statement. My own reading has led me to the conclusion that Hitler, and those higher ups within the Nazi Party, were Occultists. For me it seems to be common knowledge.
