I recently heard the Mandella effect being discussed on a radio talk show. The guy who was promoting it was wrong on every single item he discussed. He said he was 100% sure that Scott Towels (paper towels) used to be "Scott's Towels".
He also said Totino's Pizza used to be "Tostino's"
He was 100% wrong.

You would think that after ten years all this Mandela Effect talk would die down. It's not 2006 anymore.

Of course everyone but him thinks he is 100% wrong the time pixies sprinkled the dust of mystical change on us all when they decided just to change the name of Scott's towels (nothing else changed though just that) but he was hiding under his bed and didn't get sprinkled thus he alone knows the truth.

actually I used to eat tostinos pizza rolls and was very confused when they were totinos.. I assumed at the time they were bought by someone else and that someone else changed the name, and lowered the quality.

whoa When did people start talking about this? I only heard the name recently but I've been talking about "timeslips" my whole life haha.

I'm finding Mandela Effects discussed as far back as January 1999??

had no idea haha

but I'm getting a little confused..
People used the terms "glitch in the matrix" before the matrix movie came out?

That phrase came from authors like W.Gibson who basically invented all things cyberpunk.

The term you refer to and the word 'matrix' it that context were both being used many years before a film. That's why the film was named such.

lol. Thanks for joining in though, it wouldn't be a Mandela thread without you!

Neuromancer explained on wikipedia

Henry Dorsett Case is a low-level hustler in the dystopian underworld of Chiba City, Japan. Once a talented computer hacker, Case was caught stealing from his employer. As punishment for his theft, Case's central nervous system was damaged with a mycotoxin, leaving him unable to access the global computer network in cyberspace, a virtual reality dataspace called the "Matrix"

yep sounds like they read the book.

I'll have to check it out.

Thank you sir.

Oh really.. well.. I won't believe this mandela rubbish until pigs can fly..

I think you should alter that to of pigs can fly unger their own power as pigs can in fact fly if you put them in an plane or a helicopter.

Or launch them from a trebuchet.
