A woman has been stabbed to death in Russell Square, central London and five others injured in a possible terrorist attack, according to reports.
Police were called at about 10.30pm on Wednesday (London time) to reports of a man seen stabbing people at Russell Square.
Police and ambulance attended.
A female was treated at the scene but was pronounced dead a short time later. Up to six people were injured.
Further details are unavailable.
A man was arrested a short time later after being shot by a Taser.
More police have been sent to the area.
Terrorism is one possibility being considered at this stage.
According to the Guardian a caller to BBC Radio London named wtinessed the scene.
"We came around the corner and there were armed police everywhere ... a massive police presence ... and a corpse lying in the street covered in a blanket.
"Apparently it was a gang stabbed a woman and she's dead.
"We went into the bar across the street and the officers came to interview us ... we didn't actually see anything but some people in the bar saw something."
The woman who died was in her 60s . . .

Mental health is a significant factor in this case.
If the attacker stayed around long enough to get tasered it's probably more mental health than terror.
