What's funny is that you expect me to believe your anecdotal evidence, yet dismiss that of a 4 star General that has more experience and knowledge than you.

Who was also a political appointee and a lying sack of #.

You really don't see the hypocrisy in your statement, do you?

Why should I believe you over the opinion of a man with more experience and rank than you, when you have used that very criteria to qualify your opinion?

Perhaps you can be honest and note the fallacy in your approach, or do we have to continue this illogical nonsense?

A few minutes on google(if that) would prove who I am.

What do you know about him other than what the media tells you?

I know more about him than I do about you. Google proves that.

What you offer is anecdotal, illogical nonsense.

What you offer is a logical fallacy.

A waste of our time.

You just don't like to hear things that don't jive with what you already believe.

Which is fine.

I am open to facts, which is not what you can provide.

Facts contradict what you have tried to sell us. Facts show that you are full of # and rely on anecdotal testimony to push your political agenda.

Your appeal to authority has been thoroughly debunked.

A waste of time.

It's a very sad time in a Presidential elections, where both sides of the corrupt two party system, use parents of those who gave their life, in service to the United States, to try and garner votes....

What a dumb thing to say.

Facts eh?

You're going to tell me how I do my job now?

I invite you to enlist and take the same MOS I did and you can see for yourself.

You prove my point. You are appealing to authority and emotion because your factual argument is lacking.

I invite you to think...

I spoke of SOP, QRF standby, and what we are required to do when we get the call.

Are you saying that all of that happened in Benghazi?

If not, then what are you saying?

Because from where I sit nothing was done for 12 hours while your queen let people die. Same with Patraeus who was in charge of a CIA contractor group that could have responded and didn't.

Your political bias is overtaking your logic.

I cannot argue with the illogical.

You keep repeating that as a way to not answer the question.

Why weren't the assets moved according to SOP?

Why when there was several forces that could have been placed on QRF, was the order not given?

You don't answer these questions. You then invoke an appeal to authority when the argument isn't going your way a few pages back and you try to beat me over the head with it in an effort to dismiss having to answer the questions I've asked.

If anyone is illogical it is you. You aren't even trying to qualify your position.

Those people have no integrity, care not about service, have no honor, and do not understand any concept greater than self.
When confrunted with facts they deflect and lie.
They choose to be willfully obtuse to the truth as that is what is required of that party.
Then they justify it all by claiming "there was no wrongdoing"
All while keeping their eyes closed and yelling louder than any opposition.

Two of the men that died were CIA assets.

They did what they could. Your bias is clouding your judgment.

You appeal to your own authority and then dismiss those that have more authority than you.

I do not have to qualify anything, but you have a lot of explaining to do.

If you can...

I don't know if you've done it in this thread or not... If so, sorry to bring it up again.

Drawing upon your training, and experience...what should have happened, as opposed to what actually happened.

Can you give us a rough idea as to what should have happened. We can all read what did happen.

I'm not asking to try and set you up...just so you know.

That's a very loaded question. That would imply that the member in question knew the facts and circumstances behind the event, which they have already admitted they do not.

I can't speak for this incident but Blackhawk Down I was on a carrier headed for Hong Kong about to pull into port. We turned around and were doing over 70 knots getting to Somalia. Nothing we could have done really but a show of force and we did it. We flew sorties and buzzed the area.

Even if nothing could have been done to save lives something should have been done. It was not. Obama was back on the campaign trail the next day. He did not give a s***. Cover it up with a movie which, by the way is freedom of speech. Nothing wrong with the movie. We defend our people no matter what the circumstances, not blame others. Obama and Hillary are cowards and liars. We don't abandon our people even when the situation seems hopeless. We don't leave our people behind even if there is only a flicker of hope. Effin morons who don't understand this fact will only understand it when they are in this situation or someone they care about. That is the only way to breach their mind of this political sickness.

When the attack started the embassy staff would have sent out a message over secure lines, called the State Department, and then the DOD would have been informed.

What SHOULD have happened was the QRF forces(Delta) in the area would have picked up the distress call in their TOC.

The 60s(or other aircraft) would have spooled up and QRF teams would have already been out the door.

Time is 5 minutes.

Travel time from the nearest QRF to Benghazi 1/2 hour.

It would most likely have been a pair MH60L with 11 passengers and possibly an MH60 DAP.

They already had ISR and already had a gunship in the sky.

The CIA had contractor assets as well and they should have given them the go ahead to start opening up some foreheads. That never happened either.

This whole waiting around for 12 hours while an embassy burned would not have happened if someone did not interfere. It's that simple.

Between the gunship, the QRF, and contractor assets they could have mopped that place up in a quick fashion.
