well its going to happen, and the world will not end. if we survived two Bush's (friends of Clinton) we can survive a two term Trump. It will be better for the United States of America to have a nationalist minded leader over one who seeks to continue conquering the few nation states left who have not submitted to the BIS.

I'm pretty sure it won't, but you never know. Trump has already surprised me to no end.

And it's not about surviving. It's about the damage he does that needs to be fixed and apologized for once he leaves office that I'm worrying about. Of course we will survive his Presidency.

commenting on the title...they are all for Armageddon to take place, and they have their candidate that can make that happen

We can probably survive it. But, if the current state of political discourse keeps up, we'll be well on our way to destruction. The fact of the matter remains that we have two undisciplined and unprincipled people running for president. Their rhetoric only pushes people further apart. It doesn't take a genius to see that, over time, our country is becoming more authoritarian and less democratic. On top of that, our population is being encouraged to fracture into ever more intellectually isolated groups unwilling to seek common ground/understanding.

No, your comments are not necessarily extreme, just perhaps your day to day ideology.

We ARE divided but the progressives will not take a step back to give into the fake Christians. We will always stand for equal rights and women's rights. We will always side with separation of church and state which has been infringed upon with prayer in public schools, etc.

We will not regress, that does not make us bad or automatic atheist or even lacking in morals, it makes us progressive, we want a better life for us and our children, we want, kindness, no bigotry and happiness, the freedom to choose and practice our religion of choice, and acceptance of all our brothers and sisters. We want a better world. It is the fake Christians who are holding us back with thier hate and judgments.

And just a few days ago I was having Happy!!! I was in the mountains, and hiking, and enjoying this beautiful country, and spending time with my daughter and being around lots and lots of foreigners who were doing the same thing!!!!

I'm no more for prayer in public schools than you probably are. When the State embraces Christianity it 99.9% of the time gets it wrong, anyway. I don't like fascism wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross. On that note, I found the RNC to be a bizarre pageant of hollow American nationalism...as if every archetype of the ugly American materialized in one place at one time for the express purpose of causing offense.

I don't like plasticine preachers or bumpersticker, drive-by politics. Frankly, if your worldview fits on a sticker on the back of your car, you haven't thought about life long enough to have an adult conversation about anything of substance.

This is NOT about Christians (or at least some cartoon version of a TV preacher/old-school-pork-belly-politician...preferably white male and triggering) vs. Progressives (whatever the hell those are...from my vantage point: an amorphous blob of omni-directional-indignation?).

It's about the MONEY. It's about the people pulling the STRINGS and making you dance.

Don't you get it? Those fruitbats at the RNC are just the flip side of the fruitbats at the DNC. They all think they're freedom fighters aligned with a just cause sure to bring humanity to the place it ought to be. And at every step and turn they play into the hands of the people with the MONEY who plan to dictate their lives in favor of their own personal bottom lines.
