But it is always the case for "news agencies" to put forward the best "information". That follows their party lines of course

I find it perversely refreshing the Bernie supporters got 'it'

The media were pro Bush? Give me a break. Any support for the war early on was carry over form the Clinton Admin.

You know, even Chinese State Media doesn't lie like this. They at least try to spin the truth in their favour than making stuff up despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Journalists in the west at one time stood up against corruption and conspiracy within the state. Now they serve as little more than a mouthpiece for establishment propaganda. What a sorry excuse remains of a once noble profession.

According to John Swinton it has been that way for a long time. The only difference now is that with the internet pretty much everyone that has an interest to do so can very easily look into what is being reported elsewhere. Unfortunately the vast majority lacks that interest to be an informed citizen and just believes what is reported in the favorite newspaper or news-channel as gospel truth.

False, virtually every major network pushed us propaganda to convince people we had to go in, from the missing weapons of mass destruction to the early claims Saddam had something to do with 911. For years no major station really took to task Bush for the lies, real reasons for our militant foreign policy, the hundreds of thousands of dead civilians, the torture. To this day the mainstream media does not call him what he is: a war criminal that should be behind bars.
