I must admit, I found it very odd that the national flag was so absent.

It's because liberals hate America

Anyway ... it's absolutely ABSURD to state that the American people don't know Hillary Clinton.

Beyond absurd.

I agree it's absurd. But it's not really coming from the right. It seems this is the theme of the convention according to the DNC. "Who is Hillary Clinton?"

Maybe they just want to reintroduce her to try to distance her from the negative press she had during the primaries?

Or maybe, and I know you probably won't agree, her long record of public service actually does make a difference to some.

As most of her work has been directly counter to the typical Republican agenda ... of course they are routinely diminishing it.

It's bread and circuses. Shadows and shadow-puppets. Both, all, any sides.

I voted for Hillary, in 2008, because I thought she was the most capable and best candidate. I was attracted by her public record.

I also thought it was total BS that her substantive resumé would be tossed aside for Obama's flimsy resumé and cheap rhetoric. I understand that her record is meaningful to her supporters. I don't begrudge them that, at all.

(As an aside, in hindsight, I don't think there would have been much difference between an Obama and Hillary administration.)

I supported Hillary in 08.

I voted against McCain; I voted against Romney, and I'll vote against Trump.

You do realize they don't get irony, right?

Prepare to have that line misquoted back to you too.

The Democrats gave him a national stage that he lacked.

He apparently feels that the most important thing here is beating Donald Trump. He's decided that means he folds into the Democratic party and supports Clinton.

We'll see if he's right in November.

That's why I say if he had left the party at the point he started accusing the party of favoring Hillary..

By then, his supporters were locked in and he had taken full advantage of the national stage. At that point, he was saying he was getting no advantage from running as a Democrat.

He could have taken all 13 million of his supporters with him to the Green Party thanks to the national stage the Democrats provided him. And his supporters would have celebrated him for it.

Someone should ask Bill after his glowing speech about Hillary being the love of his life and the most amazing woman ever...
"Then WHY do you serially CHEAT on her, Bill?"

Republicans question the patriotism of Democrats because of how many flags they see. Meanwhile they support a guy who has openly called on Russia to hack and release his political opponents emails. This is their guy... calling on a foreign nation to commit a crime to hurt his opponent. They can take their patriotic B.S. and shove it.

www.nytimes.com...

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Mr. Trump said, staring directly into the cameras. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

I think to you the DNC represents the way you wish America looked.

America is a diverse country with many different colors and belief systems. The DNC mirrors that diversity.

I know far too many people who disagree with that perception to believe that even a majority of people see it the same way, let alone America et al.

I never said anything about how other people "see it", let alone a majority.

This morning I got an email from a long time friend. He and his wife had been die hard democrats, liberals to the core, until last night. As he put it in his email: "We really wanted to believe in Hillary, bet we can't. Bernie was our man, but he let us down when he endorsed Clinton." As much as we have been friends for so many years, the deep political divide between us strained our friendship a bit in recent years. (we were both a bit stubborn in our views) We stand on more common ground now. We still do not share the same ideology. But we agree more than disagree. Though he admitted they will definitely not be voting for Trump, he said with equal emphasis that they will not be voting for Hillary either. The DNC lost two hard core followers, and the gulf of division between my friends and I has waned to little more than a mud puddle. Life is good.

Cool story, bro. Not sure what your point is, except to tell an anecdotal tale that in no way represents the "majority".

Well we must though - right?

:-)

If we aren't soaking in red white and blue up to our earlobes every waking moment of each and every day - what else could it possibly mean?

(I always wonder about the flag thing - in a how come you can't remember where you are sort of way...)

If the plane rumors are true will you still believe that? I will be ashamed and angry if, indeed, that's the case. No more good guy feelings from me.

Because their private bedroom life isn't relevant to her years of public service?

Speaking of sexual impropriety ... er .. duh ... Donald Trump.

I'd rather see patriotism based in a commitment to American values myself ... rather than thinking the number of flags (made in China?) determines one's loyalty to this country.

I'd say something about superficiality, but ... why?

At her last press conference back in December she faced 7, yes 7 questions.

Look at her response when asked about her emails. She got flustered and ended it.

Here is a Liberal explaining why this is unacceptable.

In this interview with CNN, Tapper says it has been 5 months or so since her last press conference, will she fix that?
She stammers through some vague response.
That question starts about 3:50 into this clip.

Her lies are exposed and she knows it. A press conference, a REAL open ended press conference, would shine a light on her corruption.

Our media is so complicit in this scam, as proven by the emails, that they should be locked up.

I say that knowing he's a life-long politician.

Good point, I'll amend:

"He's a good guy, as politicians go; I still believe that."

Bernie should have stayed Independent.

I understand Dr. Stein actually offered to "step aside" and let Bernie take over.

Love to see that actually.

So would I Gryph.

That ship has sailed years ago with:
"I want to say one thing to the American people...I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman..."
www.youtube.com...
www.youtube.com...
Bill's bedroom life has already crossed over to the domain of public service...and political history.

the crap you're posting about the IRS?

Care to quote a source refuting the verifiable information in the post to which you are referring?

Did Kosiken not know about the lost emails in relation to Lois Lerner? Did congress not issue a subpoena?

Of course, all of this is somewhat off topic as well.
