I watched the video before it was taken down. He was formally a Nation of Islam member... Past Tense.

Formally a NoI member, eh? So, you're reiterating he was officially a member. I think you meant formerly, Yeti. Formerly. Past tense.

I'm not convinced these guys ignored the rhetoric of the groups. Expanded on the views maybe, thought they were ineffective maybe, but completely uninspiring? Doubtful.

If this was PTSD related then wouldn't White veterans be mass murdering cops too?

That's a loaded question and as they say (don't feed the trolls) shouldn't even be addressed.

What kind of logic is that? Say that out loud and hear the nonsense in your "statement."

Well, no, Rome, he has a point if this BS continues as black vets going postal on cops. If the people doing mass LEO murder turn out to consistently be a single vet demographic, then it begs the question of why are they so much more violent than other vet demographics?

Here is a good reference on the issue, regarding PTSD and increased violence.

The symptoms of PTSD should be the same for everyone correct? There is a clear motive to why these Officers were targeted, and it has nothing to do with PTSD. Point being, BLM played a big part in it.

I would think that having served your country and then coming back and feeling like you are being treated as a second class citizen might help solidify some peoples resolve.

PTSD doesn't cause violence, but it sure can contribute to it.
This is a good read, written by an Iraq war veteran.
War is Hell, and the Hell Rubs Off

This is his closing thought:

Visit any VA hospital across the country and you’ll see what I mean. What’s the first thing you see when you walk in? A metal detector with an armed VA police officer standing nearby.

ETA: No one in this thread is slurring our veterans, at least the way I understood the posts. Just recognizing that PTSD is real, and that these soldiers need all the help this nation can give.

I don't doubt PTSD could contribute to violence. But the decision to target police was not PTSD related. This Soldier and this Marine had clear intentions to target the Police based on the rhetoric going on with BLM and the media.

Oh please... Their motive was perfectly clear. They were sick and tired of the "illusion" that the police just loveeeee to target and kill minorities for no reason whatsoever...

Why would we assume they were sympathizers? Because of the color of their skin?

Because BLM supporter's and leader's rhetoric calls for dead cops? You think its just a coincidence that they call for violence against cops and then violence against cops happens at BLM rallies?

Oh nice, I posted videos of BLM rallies calling for dead cops was removed as "off topic" in a thread about the relationship between dead cops and BLM.

Evidence of BLM support on the moderation staff. They don't openly come out and state it but their actions define their position crystal clear, just like these shooters all did their cop killing actions at BLM rallies where they always chant kill cops kill whitey.

Yeah blame the Mods instead of Bulk's off topic derailment.

He was trying to remould the purpose of the thread as he often does.

blaming the Mods.

The thread Title claims it has nothing to do with BLM, I was providing proof that it does have to do with BLM. How is that off topic?

Well now, let's see...
You can only link those two things in your mind, as is your right to do so...

When you bring it to the forum and use it as evidence with no paper trail of direct link to the two shootings you run the risk of derailing the topic.

You're providing flimsy evidence, not proof.

Hence the post removal.

Trust me, plenty of times I thought I was on topic and have had posts removed.

Looking back I now understand, even if I complained at the time.

Multiple MLB rallies and its leaders calling for violence against cops isn't proof? Oi vey, this trip in to the Twilight Zone is getting tiresome......

What was your opinion of the Tea Party I wonder?

www.ibtimes.com...

The gunman who fatally shot five police officers near a protest Thursday night in Dallas said he was motivated by the Black Lives Matter movement, "wanted to kill white people" and had planted explosives around the city, authorities revealed Friday. The suspect — who CBS and the Los Angeles Times identified as 25-year-old Micah X. Johnson — acted alone and was not affiliated with any extremist group.

"He wanted to kill officers, and he expressed killing white people. He expressed killing white officers.

Please provide that evidence. Police reports contradict that.

During the standoff, Mr. Johnson, who was black, told police negotiators that “he was upset about Black Lives Matter,” Chief Brown said.

You own source says he was not affiliated with any extremist group. So either he was not affiliated with BLM, or BLM is not an extremist group.

Take your pick.
