Mammoth blade-wielding ‘God of War’ statue unveiled in China

Mammoth Indeed! This Statue is Massive!

I thought with all the war threads lately this would be a nice edition.

China have redefined the concept of ‘statue’ and put Lady Liberty to shame with the unveiling of a colossal 1,320-ton, 58-meter-high statue of legendary general and “God of War” Guan Yu.

And as always the commentary always makes me laugh.

Makes for a great starting bearing point for targeting if needed.

That would depend on who tosses the first But you must admit, it's Incredibly Massive in size, is it not?

DAYUM, that's actually freakin' awesome in design. I really like it. But in all honesty, that makes Lady Lib look pretty lame by comparison :/

I'm not sure offhand myself, but I didn't mean size comparison -- just aesthetics.

The height of the Statue of Liberty is 151 ft. from the base to the torch. With the pedestal and foundation included in the measurement, the full height is 305 ft. Miss Liberty sits proudly atop the 65 ft. tall foundation fashioned in the shape of an eleven-point star, and an 89 ft. stone pedestal.

I'll bet that sucker can be seen from outer space... will have to check it out on google earth.

The design looks pretty dang awesome, lots of great detail in it.

This reminds me of the pegasus fighting a dragon statue at one of the race tracks here in south florida.

It's colossal as well.
