Stop All The Racism And Fighting - Race Is Not Real.

I really wanted to make a YouTube video of this but I find I am terrible at speaking, and on top of that my mic is terrible.

So I am an atheist & egalitarian. I am also a skeptic. You'll understand why I mentioned this in a second.

I'm in my mid 30's now and it seems that every day I see some idiotic display of racism and stupidity in the media. I've never believed in race, it never made sense to me. I never believed in any religion either, they never made sense to me. Humans evolved and eventually spread out of somewhere in Africa to all corners of the world. I never understood how we could somehow split into different races, that doesn't sound like it makes sense.

So.. recently I did a bit of research to find out if we are different races like everyone seems to think. Well, it turns out we are NOT different races. We are all THE SAME RACE!

From what I have found, there is absolutely no scientific proof or evidence that we are different races. In fact, there is only scientific proof and evidence to show that we are the same race. I invite you to look into this for yourself and you will find it is true.

It seems almost all the atheist channels on YouTube talk about how racism is bad - which it is - but none of them seem to mention the fact that we are actually all the same race. I find it so bizarre that people who don't believe in religion because it has no proof or evidence will push the "race agenda" even though there is no proof or evidence for it. They don't believe in religion because of these reasons, but seem to believe in race.

I even looked at DNA. According to DNA every single human on earth is between 99.5% and 99.9% the exact same DNA. Most sources use 99.9 but I did find one that was as low as 99.5% so I used a range, but most say 99.9% exactly the same.

I'm what you call "white" and my wife is "arab". We have two kids. My skin color is different than my wife's, and our children's skin color is different from both of ours and different from each others. Does it sound logical that I am one race, my wife is a different race and we created 2 other totally difference races?? So now in our house of 4 people we have 4 different races?? that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard or thought of.

Give me a break and stop this nonsense. There is only one race of Human on Earth and if you are reading this then you happen to be a member of it. It doesn't matter what your skin color is, you are the same race as everyone else.

Anyone who claims to be an atheist but is also racist or even believes that we are different races should be ashamed of themselves. They are following a belief system which has absolutely no proof or evidence to back it up.. This is exactly what religion is and usually the reason most don't believe in it.. but for some unknown reason this has tricked even most of the atheists..

Another thing is that having multiple races has absolutely no benefit whatsoever. It doesn't help anyone and only leads to suffering.

I may be wrong but from my research it seems that race was actually invented by religions in order to take advantage of others, discriminate, and spread hatred while controlling the people. Most holy books talk about races, but then again they also talk about how the world is flat, the universe revolves around earth and a 600 year old pedophile rode a Pegasus into the sky. Why do people still believe this garbage?? Better yet, why do atheists believe it? It makes no sense.

Stop all the racism and fighting - we are all the same race. If you disagree with what I said, please go and look it up for yourself and you will find that I am correct.

I've been without television "programming" for about fifteen years now and one thing I've noticed is that talking to many people that watch it intently (or YouTube for that matter), causes me to feel like I'm mentally inhaling some crude and debilitating form of second hand smoke.

The break room at work is full of ignorance, much like what ATS is devolving into, parroting whatever narrative is being spewed across the land, disguised as a prominent issue.

While they appear important on the surface, most are manufactured control mechanisms designed by very smart people in very high places. I wish ATS would get back to business and rise above it all.

In medical school I learned in emergency triage the obvious: go anywhere in the world for a medical emergency...and everyone...EVERY-ONE without exception...bleeds RED. The same. ALL.

I like your feel good message of unity, and I wish and really hope that we can all be united. I think you are correct in that there is one race, just like there is one race when it comes to dogs. Dogs however have many breeds but still share 99.9% of their DNA with each other too, and there are definite characteristics that tend to come with those breeds. Is one dog breed better than the other? Maybe some might be more physically powerful and faster, some instinctually herd sheep, others are tiny and like to yap away, but who are we to judge good and bad dogs? I think the same applies to human beings. We are one race for sure but definitely not one breed, and as such we are a beautiful and diverse species with each breed having their own amazing characteristics and tendencies, but ultimately we our all beautiful human beings.

Depends on your science. Biologically, yes, there is no useful racial distinction in humans.

But according to chemistry there's no useful distinction between you and the dirt in your yard. According to physics, you do not actually exist as an individual entity, you are simply an arbitrary bundling of particles in an entire universe of equally dense and equally interesting particles.

Sociology and anthropology point out that race is real - it's a cultural construct, sure. But so is nationality and no one tries to argue "science proves Canadians don't exist." The fact is that race exists, it has a real impact on real people, and is an actual issue that needs to be addressed in many societies and cultures around the world.

Telling people "just knock it off" is no more helpful to the problem than Nancy Reagan admonishing addicts to "just say no." You can't just expect people to be like "oh well, okay then," and drop the baggage of centuries of culture and history. It might be nice, sure, but it won't happen. The issues have a real impact and need to be worked through and settled before that point can be reached. Which yes, means that hte point might never be reached.

Because race might not have biological foundations, but the tribal mentality that makes it part of almost every world cultrue? That is definitely biological.

race is a fundamental break through of our evolution. there are 36000 species of spider, but only one hominid remains today. us. scientist or [paleo] anthropologist are bridging missing gaps and concluding some species similar to us, may not have just gone extinct. they might have been made extinct. but its theoretical.
though our species is physiologically the same, we are molded a great deal by our immediate environment, vegetation, natural resources, and what we use for sustenance.

Absolutely correct.

Not to be condescending, but every child learns this in in fifth grade Biologyclass in Germany, and I doubt it is very different in other european countries.

One of the reasons why far-right protests are much more focused on religious- and economic correlations when it comes to immigration.

Also a reason why it is much easier to spot racism right away.

Nope. Cultural distinctions are not biological, they are acquired (learned).
So your "tribal mentalities" are nothing but a result of socialisation and ideology.

But scientific we are different races, but the same species.

We are hard wired to not be that 'comfy' about other races. So its hard.

But yes, racism should not exist, just like all religions should be banned.

The problem is that you are stuck in a racially centric viewpoint. When you think about it, really think, we are all the same.

I think what people see as race is actually just skin tone and culture.

If an advanced race of aliens landed on the white house lawn today do you think they would categorize us based on skin tone or just simply issue the command "destroy all HUMANS"?

BS, that's exactly why we have race issues, because some are trying to force us to ignore the obvious.
We are different, we have to learn to accept that different doesn't mean better or worse. Just different.
But all this egalitarian crap will do nothing but make things worse. Like you're trying to convince people purple is the same as green. It never worked, doesn't work and never will.

Let's assume you're Asian meeting an Arab for the first time in your life, your first impulse is fear, that happens without you wanting it or thinking about it, it's a natural reaction.
If you want to end racism and the fighting you would need to grow up in an environment where all races just are existing next to eachother. Instead you got ghettos, tv programmes for different races and still nations where most people never saw an outsider in their whole life.
We have to change our culture, learn to embrace different instead of denying and demonising what's mostly just kneejerk, or a subconscious impulse.
We already got better, we don't cook eachother anymore, but it's still a very long way until there is no more visible distinction with all its implications between races.
